Anyone else seen that the Ricoh will be used as the Rugby 7 venue for 2022 Com Games? The salient point is it was going to be Villa Park but because the football season starting earlier due to World Cup in Qatar the only option that would not interfere with football was to use the Ricoh.

No football at the Ricoh = no Sky blues playing there.

Bit of a cheek, especially considering we’ll be in the premier league by then!

Although I'm sure if little Timmy has anything to do with it, we'll have our own 80,000 seater arena in Coventry by then

It doesn't bode well though there's no guarantee the FL will kick off as early as the PL though there's not usually more than a week between them.

If we were back, (big if), I'm sure we could do what Spurs did last season and play all away games for the first month or so.

That’s what will happen. IF we are back, could be a tough start if I our first four matches are Man City, Spurs, Chelski and Liverpool

Commonwealth Games just a big school sports day.

Fancy Usain Bolt to do well in the egg and spoon though.

Commonwealth games is normally done in a week so at most we would clash for 1 game if we were back there.

League one wont have a winter break for the world cup though will it so I'd assume we'd just kick off first week of August as usual. Maybe have to play our first game away.

All hypothetical obviously as we could be playing premier league at HR2 or League 2 at the Ricoh.

Rugby 7s tends to have very little of the rucking and mauling of the 15 a side game. Should not be an issue for the pitch. Wasps 18 stone props in the scrum digging their heals in is the issue.

Rugby 7's, an even more pointless version of a pointless game.

How else are big eared simpletons going to burn off excess energy?

They're less of a danger to society when they're tired.
