Good at smiles and posing, useless at making decisions! He was dire for 85 minutes of the 95.

We don't do enough to win free kicks IMO, but i understand the finel ine between going down and diving!

Back to my point, the ref was shite!

Interesting.

I thought he had a good game overall and kept the game flowing well. He did miss a few fouls here and there, but by a long chalk he wasn't that bad I feel.

I think he forgot his cards as a few Yeovil players all made tackles that warranted a card, especially the bearded guy who brought down Nouble who was clean thru, I agree with your point, the ref was double shite!

The refs in this league are truly piss poor.

The refs in the this league will be 3rd class as it's the 3rd division in all but title. I thought we got away a bit with Clarke's tackle in the box but could be wrong.

Aren't the officials required to have fitness regimes. I thought at times today that Andy Thorn was running one of the lines.

Why, did he have a couple of pork pies tucked down his socks?

By the look of his waistline, there's no chance of a pie having been within jogging distance.

Dean Whitestone 8/10 allowed the game to flow & generally good use of advantage, could easily have produced a couple of yellows but sensibly decided to keep his cards in his pocket and manage the game by communicating and displaying a firm authoritative presence.

Put another way, we'll see a lot worse! PUSB

When they were warming up in front of us the little one with short fat hairy legs was actually racing the other two. Thought the guy dived for the pen so the ref got that right for me

It was right in front of us and the lad defiantly dived

No probs with the ref today. Didn't see much in the game that warranted many cards. Thought the lino in the second half (end City were attacking) was a bit ropey.

He was ok. Not good not bad. You are not going to get a world class ref at this level so you will get some decisions and not others.

I thought he was a bit of a jerk but have no cards I don't think which I always give marks for and didn't I've the JC penalty which I've seen given just look at Bradford opening day.

To sum up he was what was to be expected. Seemed to help us out at the end with a few cheap free kicks so he gets my vote.

Well I didn't think it was a pen either. Think he was looking for it.

There was a hint of Offside and holding/Pulling Shirt by the goal Scorer too.

Thought they were a bit physical and the lack of a card encouraged them .

Do think he could have handed out one or two cards, but overall I didn't think he was too bad.

Should have booked their number 3 for the ludicrous dive, and their player for the tackle through the back of Jackson on the half-way line, but I was also happy that he only played 4 minutes of added time....

only thing i thought he totally messed up was the incident with jackson if you don't get a yellow for pushing somebody through an advertising board i don't know what you do get a yellow for

You mean the premiership standard Mike Dean. God he was shocking in our game vs Bradford.

I thought yesterday's ref was okay, but seemed reluctant to show yellow cards. Good in some ways I suppose. But 0 cards for a league 1 game is very odd.

Funny old game isn't it, I thought the Clarke incident was a penalty IMO he took a swipe and caught him, my mate sitting next to me thought it wasn't .
Ref was okay to be fair, seemed consistent throughout, which can be infuriating when they are not, he was lenient with the cards but I prefer that to them being dished out like confetti .
