Well, this is a right mess. Red Bull are threatening to withdraw from Formula 1 if they cannot find a competitive engine. The Renault power unit has lacked in power and reliability all season, prompting Red Bull to sever ties with the French manufacturer, leaving the once dominant Austrians without an power unit for next year. Team boss Christian Hornder claimed the Mercedes would not provide the team with engines, but Niki Lauda confirmed on Sunday that it was in fact Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz who turned down the offer. So there is a real chance we may not see Red Bull on the grid next season. So whats your take on this? What do you make of this situation? Would Red Bull be missed?

They need to stop acting like spoilt brats because they are not winning anymore. Just a case of sour grapes if they go it will not be good but if red bull do not want the Merc engine then they find another or leave up to them ! Money has ruined this sport just like it has football.

I find it weird how they claimed Mercedes stopped the deal but it was actually their own boss who said no to Mercedes

Wasn't even the price apparently. Mateschitz doesn't want to know

Possibly. Fish Face gets around so who knows what he's been saying to them

Mercedes footage was severely limited in the last race due to this but why would you give a very good engine to a direct competitor?
