Might be a last minute thing whenever I go or not but 310 is a wee bit steep for a pre season knockabout!

I think it's been a tenner for the last couple of pre-seasons at Treacle Town - I'll probably go with Scam Jnr and a couple of mates. [As long as it's not raining cats and dogs!]

Yes, I heard that they are looking into moving to Rushden but as far as it stands the game will be at Rockingham Road, Kettering.

just to point out that there is no segregation in effect, just like last season, you will be allowed all around the ground, so he will have a choice of one of the 600 seats

another reminder that it's half the price nuneatin charged you

£5 adults, £3 concessions (over 60s/students with NUS card) and U16s go FREE

yes, of course I'm trying rouse interest, but you can't blame me

also, if you really can't be bothered to make the game, we will be running a Live Text Online Commentary here: http://www.hinckleyunitedfc.co.uk/matchlive (it's the first of the season so let's hope it works ok now I've posted this )

No segregation ruined the game last year, no atmosphere, nothink like what nuneaton is.
For that reason I won't be there.

I didn't mind it apart from the most boring game ever. I liked the fact you could stand where you want and stood behind the goal that we were shooting at both halves.

I went to watch the footy, wasn't bothered about letting off smoke bombs or chanting at teams about 7 leagues below in a pre season friendly.

Good run out V Hickley United! Won 3 - 0 and some pretty impressive performances. ROD got his third in 2 games, Freddy looked better (still alot of improvement needed) and a great finish from Conor Thomas!! Sat right next to dug outs and Harrison seems to control alot of the tactical side of things. Bit bemused what '6 passes' is. You'd think it meant what it sounds like, but you'd be wrong. It was shouted out quite a bit from our dugout, but very rarely did we only make 6 passes?? Either alot more before shooting opportunity, or giving away possession on 7th!

It's that new one ['The 6-pass Law' - rule XXIV3a] which states you're only allowed six passes before having to take a shot at goal. Goal kicks, freekicks, corners and throw ins all count as a pass too. Designed to thwart all that possession football nonsense that teams like Arsenal and Barcelona like.

Maybe it's "look to make 6 passes at least"? At Nuneaton there was a lot of working the ball from side to side, twisting the other team out of shape and working space-usually buying time for the full-back on one side to work a good position. It's Sammys or Gaels job at the fulcrum to dictate play, with Bell and Thomas so far looking very at home with the style.
Decent result at Hinckley-they're not quite up to Nuneatons quality, but they've a few decent players and beat Notts C on the 9th, so they're ahead of our boys in terms of gametime.

Awesome news about the Leam game, I'll be at that even if it is a bit of a shadow side.

Excellent cheers, I didn't know about the Leam game either. I'm only 2 mins from ground so I have no excuses for the timing on that one

Wish I still lived on Tachbrook Road, then I'd be in the same boat as you Rob! Still, it's not too far from Leam.
