The Power of Now is a fantastic book by Ekhart Tolle which shows that Now is the only real time. Now we have 4 points, the same number as the team 4th in the table. No point in living in the past games, how we played, what goals we should have had, team selection etc. No matter how much analysis you apply will not alter the fact of where we are Now.
Each and every game will be different but by concentrating on the Now will show the positivity of where we are in the table. Forget Southend, Bolton, how we played - those games belong to the past.
In the same way, don't try to analyse the next two games and base your thoughts on how we played in the past.
I can recommend The Power of Now as a good read as the principal applies just as much to your every day life.

Yep a good read...that thinking has certainly come to my rescue in the past! Having said that, right now I'm enjoying the prospect of the coming season along with a nice cup of coffee and a croissant...oh wait...that was then! Heyho!

Will read it on Friday, so I go to St Andrews the following day thinking Bakayoko is a world beater!

Wrong .... the future is just an illusion in your mind, NOW is the only real time. As a side, The Power of Now helped my brother beat cancer. He didn't analyse the reasons why he had it or worry about what might happen. This book helped him deal with his cancer in the Now, accepting he had cancer and accepting the treatment.

And it certainly would be an illusion on the Baka comment!

But now isn't real time because what was now yesterday is now in the past. I agree you should not dwell on the past and what might have been in different circumstances, but in the specific case of football, neither should you keep repeating the same mistake. The past is an experience that you should learn from

Agreed, the past is an experience to learn from and deal with in the Now. Expectations are an illusion. Buy the book, it really is a good read.

Considering that we’re/our brains are all nano seconds behind actual reality, none of us are actually living in the ‘now’.

That was in the past, so why have you even mentioned it?

Time itself is just an illusion, it's a man made tool created to appease the capabilities of our minds, giving us a concept of our existence that we can comprehend.
Time as we know it is only relevant to us as human beings on our planet Earth. The concept of time as we rely on, is simply meaningless throughout the infinity of space and the universe. I could talk about this for hours, but anything our minds can comprehend is more or less irrelevant and insignificant anywhere else aside from on Earth, to human beings
