Whilst there has been a lot of negatives on here after yesterday some of it justifiable there are a number of positives to take from yesterday.

overall the defence played well and both Binks and Lati played well together.
lati for me was mom and made a number of very good interceptions and headers. Binks also played well and got an assist for the goal.
mve showed yet again hes a fantastic player and I just hope we can keep him for another season or two. Both him and Saka were pretty quiet yesterday by their standards particularly Saka but mve defended really well.

for all their possession yesterday paticulary in the first half we predominately restricted them to long range shots which were dealt with by Dovin and it was only a worldy strike which may have not been given on a different day with a decent ref that beat him.

Bristol are a good side this season especially with Twine in midfield and from those that were there or saw the game its clear that our midfield just got nullified by Bristol cutting off the service to Simms and Wright. Bristol clearly had a plan to press us and identified that our main threat going forward is through mve and Saka. Every time the ball went out to our right hand side Sake had two players on him and they gave us no time on the ball.
We are clearly missing Sheaf but Eccles and Torp just isnt working and we need to either find a Hamer style midfield player to carry us forward or we find a way using what we have all ready in Palmer and Co.

Positives?

We didn't lose and my missus went out, so I was able to watch the game on the big TV downstairs.

Our midfield got nullified because Eccles always wants to pass backwards even when theres usually a pass forward to be had which isolates our forwards, I am sure if he took penalties he would pass the feckin ball backwards, Torp does at least try to look forwards, when he's awake that is

The positives are a few yes. Thought defensively we looked ok. Keeper is a massive upgrade and he hardly has been here so will only get better.

Bristol city are a strong side especially at home. Their record is great at home.

Our bench is fantastic and can now change games such as yesterday. EMC with the cross and palmer with the finish. Both subs. So genuine good options. BTA even could have won it at the end and was a total nuisance for 20 minutes.

early days and no need to panic. Bloody hell it’s 3 games in with 1 win 1 loss and 1 draw. It’s fine. All without our arguably best player and captain.

Totally accept it was a great performance but we showed glimpses of quality and we certainly fight for the shirt and team. Positives to draw

Positive is a solid point against a decent team, the strong bench changing the game, and Robins going on record as being pissed off instead of pretending all was ok.

I thought Binks looked vulnerable! Felt like a mistake in him every time the ball was around him. Generally Binks plays well but yesterday I think he was far from at it!

1) Dovin made some great saves

2) The CB partnership looked decent

3) The subs changed the game. We have so much strength in depth.

Was travelling back from a break in Minehead yesterday. so passed (enviously) Bristol about an hour and a half before kick off. Caught a lot of the second half when I got back. Kasey's goal was really well taken. and I've had taken a point all day long beforehand, with Sheaf missing, together with Bristol's home record/stronger team this season. Hoping that Sargent gets sold before we play Norwich, as he's a top striker. Really want Sheaf back asap - hoping he might get a few minutes on Tuesday ? Big shout out for the SBA - loud and proud, as usual.

A point away against a very physical team which the ref and Lino turned a very cowardly blind eye to.
They were the better team in the first half, but we improved in the second especially after the subs.

Yeah, three against one this time though.

One wants to binge watch Buffy, the other wants to binge watch Doctor Who, or some Korean drama and my missus wants to watch anything with Hugh Jackman in it.

Best hope for me I think, is to try and get MR to sign Jackman as the midfield enforcer we need.

We COULD do with a bit of extra steel in the middle of the park couldn't we

Ended up in a home pub with some Bristol lads and walked to the ground just after KO from the 3 lions which is about 0.5 mile away and all you could hear was the SBA.

It's clear as day what we need in the midfield and have it coming back in Sheaf. Also convinced we will add someone else in the next week in that area.

Yes he kept us in the game and was prevented from challenging the shot for their goal by the player on the ground. Fadz had a goal versus Norwich chalked off as Walker was adjudged to be impeding their goalie which was total rubbish. This was far worse. Refs are utter shite so far.
