Gotta be careful with the under soil heating, as it could melt the snow, which causes a waterlogged pitch.

The problems will be the service area access outsite the ground, roads, walkways etc. Pitch may be playable but could be called off by Police for health and safety. Oh dear what a world we live in now. Lets hope its on becuase this is another one we can win.

Oh and don't even get me started on stadiums that need a roof so far up in this Northern hemisphere.

As I understand it , the stewards have been asked to report for a 9am start to help clear walkways around the ground. So if it does go ahead it will be down to their efforts again to keep the ground safe and game on.

I was trying to find a video clip of December's goal of the month competition for 1995 because I suspect one our goals from this game qualified and that would tell me if I was right. But I could only find this MOTD Goal of the Season highlights from the year before. Thought I'd post it though as any excuse to see Nuddy's mazy run against WBA has to be taken! This was the year Le Tissier was whacking in scorcher after scorcher, Shearer and Cole were in their pomp and, of course, Nayim scoring from (actually a fair way beyond) the halfway line, so I don't think Nuddy won.

We definitely had a game where the pitch was white and the normally white lines were scraped out with a shovel! And the ref would casually stop the game for the grounds people to come on and refresh the 'lines'!

Comical, but it got the game to go ahead!

Head Groundsman is there over night i think! Dedication!
