Saw a lot of the black and white scarves yesterday. That idea was mentioned here a couple of years ago, but never took off. Think the suggestion was that we wear red and green (city's civic colours), although given that a local non-league side have adopted those colours now, not sure how that would play out. Certainly a good way of generating funds.

This was a tweet from one of the comms guy from Charlton. Dunno whether it is true or not

I think what was noticeable yesterday was just how organised the Charlton fans were, and how they seemed to have funds at hand to spend on the kind of creative protest we saw at The Valley, gaining a lot of exposure and publicity.

If someone has the idea to throw thousands of pork pies onto the pitch at the Ricoh, where would the money come from? Perhaps there is a case for raising funds.

Personally I'm at the point where enough is enough. I've stopped getting involved in discussions about the council et al. I think they are massively culpable just like SISU. Ultimately though, we're at the point where there is no other way forward other than to get SISU out by ramping up the pressure to such a degree they have no other option. Can't be doing with the blame game anymore, even though I know its not all black and white, so willing to chuck some cash in so that we can start to make a real noise and get people to stand up and notice. Fed up of suffering in silence.

OK, fair enough. Would say fundraising is harder with secrecy however, so a general campaign plan needs to be shown, if not the specifics, and examples of what the cash is going towards.

I assume it's outside of the Trust constitution now, but lifetime membership has hamstrung their fundraising abilities. If at all possible should go back to an annual membership, ideally by Direct Debit so people forget to cancel and just automatically renew Failing that, some kind of supporter's scheme might be worthwhile.

I do think an 'everybody out' message would probably get you more cash too. Dorsn't stop you targeting SISU first, after all...

It's so the trust can pick up the tab for Elliot's and Haskells lunch bill.

Well said, we cannot change the past and the blame game is getting boring.
I too am willing to put in £100 into a fighting fund to do what ever it takes to rid our club of these owners.

Yes and he will be the first to say this and that is shit, look how others do it etc etc.
Yet another one who won't put a penny in and expect a pound.
Was also suggested that any money raised and then not used can be put into the Jimmy Hill fund.
I believe Charlton have a fund of over £25,000 so anything they want to do is possible.

If you had been at Charlton you would have seen that it was the Trust guys who were organising things from a Coventry perspective. Who do you think it was who liased with CARD, the Charlton protest people? Another case of ignorantly sniping at people who are doing something.

unfortunately that alone is not enough. Unless there is a way of getting sisu out now there is only one outcome. Venus virtually confirmed this on the phone in that we would continue the downward spiral of disinvestment until we are profitable. Last season proved you can do that on an upwards spiral too. He also confirmed all of the Maddison money was gone.
the lower you go in the leagues you don't sell players for 2-3 million any more. For any sisu defendants it is clear that even as a pure business model it is leaky. we need action before we have nothing left

I think red black and white was Singers FC colours I think the white was a small part of the colours but would mean something to the club Manchester United went back to there routes with the newton heath yellow and green scarfs we should do the same!

I'm in, £100 from me and £75 from my lad, he's 15 and it will take me at least 5 years
To get it back, in all seriousness if this was organised and real, I would gladly hand
Over more than that to see the back of these people.

Lets take each match and action as separate battle.
The march from Holbrook Park to the Ricoh on Saturday is an ideal opportunity to show we still have strong fan base and we all agree that the owner should put the club up for sale.

I don't know if it's already been mentioned but Charlton were homeless for years because of past owners uselessness & their local council were also completely unhelpful.
Their fans got together and stood at local elections as The Valley Party and won seats on the council, ousting some of the councillors who had been undermining the club
That was the start of what eventually ended with their return to the Valley under fan ownership

Does anybody know why they chose pigs?
Did I read that the march started on Floyd Road or something.
I'l love to think it was because of that...

They actually wanted feet so that the owners would walk.
The harsh truth is pigs were the only thing they could get 5000 of in this country and as they say Pigs Might Fly.
I believe Joy took some home to her kids typical anything for nothing.
Shame she never just got an ear to show what she has made of our club.
