Are a disgrace .
for years they have had sports teams in the city of coventry , they never supported us , they sat back and watched us drop , not caring , the rugby club got the exact same , pathetic crowds for years and nobody gave a toss about their decline .
where were these people when we had good sporting sides in the city , and now im watching wasps get 20,000 sales for their next match whilst my beloved football club get 7k and the rugga club on a 15 win streak get 1500.
This city and warwickshire is a haven for glory hunting no marks , that turned their back on their home clubs long before the arrival of sisu and wasps .
must be in their elements now , people of coventry and warwickshire are fickle , fake fans they all deserve eachother in that stadium with all the other fake sporting fans that want to watch a jolly old game of rugga .
hope they go under
dont worry , these very people would be sat next to you and me at wembley if city ever reached a playoff final , granted in the conference , but hey ho

To be fair, "sales" is probably stretching it a bit.

Whilst I agree with some of your points Craig but would refer you to the crowds at the beginning of SISU's tenure, upwards of 20,000 on a regular basis. They then pressed the self destruct button and the rest is history.

For some insane reason, i have continued to purchase season ticket after season ticket (except the sixfields fiasco), travel the length and breadth of the country to watch us be embarrassed on a regular basis by lets say some of the nations smaller football clubs. The reason I have mentioned the above is that I am also going to watch wasps with a number of family and friends on Saturday. It doesn't make me a fan or supporter but there is a top class sporting team now on our doorstep albeit inherited. They are here to stay and the first match was thoroughly entertaining both on and off the pitch. Don't the people of coventry deserve to watch some decent sport and celebrate something for once after years of being dished up nothing but shit?

Sisu and the football club are getting far more fans than they deserve at the moment, they should consider themselves very lucky they have such a loyal fanbase that will continue to pay hundreds of pounds to be treated in the most shocking of ways. I'm never going to watch wasps but the suggestion our fans are a disgrace for not wasting their money supporting this utter farce is ridiculous in the extreme.

You have people in the comments section of wasps facebook page saying things like "go on the coventry wasps " "never watched rugby before but now i love it " "look at the amazing support " blah blah , make me sick , no better than people in coventry that support united , chelsea , arsenal etc

The owners have driven us away finally.
For the record, I've been to watch Wasps and had a great afternoon. Effort was put in to make it more of an event, rather than CCFC's give us your money, say nothing and piss off when it's finished, kind of attitude. People treated like valuable customers instead of being looked down on like second class oiks.
And I wouldn't worry about these Wembley tickets you mention, there'll be plenty to go round if we ever make the FA Vase final.

Don't start this again....I made a stand and felt that we shouldn't be dictated to by the Hitlers in charge of our club. If we'd have filled that dump every week, we'd still be there.

Call my hypocritical by going to watch them and I don't for a second believe what Wasps have done to their own fans is correct but as I say; they're here now and if there's nothing else on worth going to then I have no reason not to go.

Our club has been backed properly, It's not the people of Coventry that are glory hunters, it's the people of the entire country that chose to spend their money doing something they enjoy at a quality product. If many die hard fans are no longer willing to support this farce with their money how can you blame the more general public for not wishing to do so?

I've been to the Butts twice this season. Again, enjoyable to watch. Not putting all my eggs in one basket (pardon the pun)

Irrespective of wether ccfc owners turned you or people of cov and warks away from football , why are these people not watching the local rugby side , that will directly be effected by the outsiders being here , and are on a great run

Sorry Craig, whilst I also agree with some of your points you seem to forget or you do know but left it out Sisu are the worst owners of our history.

Crowds starting at the Ricoh 2005 onwards and to start under sisu were constantly over 20k and for big games were selling out or close to I think of Leeds 2010 lost 3-2.

I will compile a short list of the last 5 years.

Selling any decent player
Move to Northampton first time in our clubs history.
Relegation to league 1. (Crap league)
Managers coming and going like a revolving door.
Endless legal action against ccc/ACL and ccc whether we like them or not run the city of Coventry where I live. And now an appeal to the appeal. It doesn't stop basically.
Bar a couple of period of games the football style has been awful no more than this season where tbf it's just crap and boring let's be honest.
Constant lies from sisu about a stadium about player sales about where we are heading.
Sisu coming out and not declaring a promotion plan.
No money re invested from player sales so we sold Clarke and Wilson for 4m combined which is huge and got in loans and frees who attract no interest.
Struggling at the foot of league 1 which an inept manager who sisu gave a 4 year contract to so we are stuck now.
Wasps a rugby club own what was meant to be our ground.
15 years of decline (I know I said 5 years but I'm on a rant now)

Sorry I did say a short list. So yes I do agree with some points but your anger is directed at the wrong people. Personally I'm amazed that 7-10k fans turn up at the Ricoh for crap football that no one wants to watch after years of hurt and misery.

Unfortunately Craig there is nothing we can do else it would be done. We done ever so well to get ccfc back to Cov which is at least something and the reaction on here was amazing but if we are celebrating coming back home to where we should be as our biggest achievement in 20 years then this is why we are where we are.

The fans can't control off the pitch with budgets etc. money is either spent wisely or not and we are where we are. The owners have full responsibility of our club, not the ccc or ACL but sisu and the football league don't get me wrong have been fully complicit they had a chance to get our club back but it's well known amongst pros as well they just want fixtures fulfilling and nothing else.

Your anger needs to be directly at others imo although I completely understand and agree on certain points with your morning rant. It's a total disgrace and I'm sorry to say we are only going down further and league 2 is inevitable if not this year but next after more cuts and sales.

Always believe thigh we are city fans. It's all we have.

Probably because they are the same price (as long as you are not picky where you sit at the Ricoh) for Premiership Rugby vs 3rd tier rugby. If you don't support a Rugby club and wanted to try something new you'd go to wasps especially if you get a free ticket to try it.

You might as well take Warwickshire out of the title. The majority of people in Warwickshire disassociate themselves from Coventry at all costs. I'm temporarily living in Bulkington and the abuse I got for 'not being from round here' and then 'being from Coventry' was amusing. Straw chewing bumpkins.

Wasps isn't Coventry, so your Leamington and Warwick and Kenilworth can feel safe going without going to the big old shit hole city.

Not to mention people in tiny villages further south who have absolutely nothing to do with Coventry and no reason to ever go there.

It's not my home town.
My local rugby team would be Bedworth. I support Kerseley ladies RFC. I am a CCFC season ticket holder of many years and enjoy watching first class rugby. Now live.
To be honest people need to first get over it and then take advantage of the situation.
Ccfc need get the best deal they can with Wasps as Wasps have eluded too and not continue the court battles.
Crfc will reap rewards from Wasps if they ask as Wasps will have players on the perifual of the team that will be loaned out. These players will be more than good enough to get out of L1 and will not go amiss in the Championship.

The deal is done, Wasps will establish here and will be well supported, let's do what we can to get Sisu on board.

Not overly keen on franchise sport!

To be fair, with work wouldn't have got to see City much if we'd been at The Ricoh anyway, so not much of a "stand" if wouldn't have seen them anyway.

Born in Coventry, lived in Driffield in Humberside for 11 years, now live in Bedworth. 3 generations of Sky Blues in this family still living, long may it continue. My sons were born in Nuneaton but choose Coventry City, can't see why people have a problem with Warwickshire people, all I see is Coventry fans here and the odd Man Utd.

It was related to being mixed race. The Coventry aspect was a sideshow. But I'll leave it there.

I have an emotional connection to CRC having had a season ticket for many years (in the long distant past) and having great memories, but if you don't have an emotional connection and fancy trying something new a £15 (or free) ticket to Watch Premiership Rugby is far more appealing than £15 to watch tier 3 Rugby like I said I don't like it but it's completely understandable.

I wasn't really including Bedworth and Nuneaton in that. More the villages and towns south of kenilworth/Leamington. It's completely different there.

It was only 2 people to be fair. Bulkington is fine in general! It's no Earlsdon though. Plus I'm basically no darker than a yellowish tan. It usually goes unnoticed to the untrained eye. Cheers though you old git
