Just looked at the League One table and with Notts County in the play-off positions and Walsall just hovering outside the bottom 3, there is the potential that we could be the only Midland club in League One if/when we go down.

Has that ever happened before that the City have played in any division where they are the only club from the Midlands?

Never in my living memory. We have always seemingly come up against Villa or Leshtur, or Brum or West Brom, or Wolves, or the 2 Nottingham clubs.

Can't remember any time when we have been the only Midland club in any division we have occupied.

Anyone recall such a situation?

So could be that Shrewsbury is our local rival next season?

Would think MK is closer than Shrewsbury.

In the play-offs positions!

Hooray, maybe it will be a bumper Midlands season. Crewe are in the play-off positions too!!

Who would you rather have, Leshtur, Villa, Brum and Wolves, or Walsall, Crewe, Shrewsbury and Cheltenham?

Yeah, there's a few actually, got Notts county, also teams like Chesterfield, swindon are a fairly short drive away. Cheltenham, Oxford & Crewe are all within a decent shot off the play offs.

We can truly say we'll be the best Midlands club in the league then!
