Was going to post this myself, could have been the missing piece that gave us a better start. Still, I like Mcdonald and Elliott has done better than I thought too.

Good start for both Cody and Elliot agreed, but can't help thinking what might have been, I think you may well be right about the missing piece,

Think other lad Thorn says we missed out on due to the embargo - David Syers also got 2 for Doncaster against Hull.

goals have not been a problem so far and I'm convinced Cody will get 20 this year so I'm not too bothered right now

also love Elliott's Somerset and still think rod can score in this league

Way it goes. Amazed he didn't wait a couple of weeks to have the benefit of playing for thorn. Amazed he went for the dull, droning Di Canneo instead.

I suppose that would be a good thing if we got Wise as manager which is that lots of people may be swung to want to work under a great player

Yep Wise has the X factor over the likes of THORN for sure - that counts for a great deal at this level

James Collins was just on talk sport radio and said he fancied Swindon to be drawn away at the Ricoh in the next round.

What from the player that wouldn't wait a couple weeks before joining him? Sincere.

If he had more time Swindon would have time to get a greater points advantage over us!

Not sure of his relationship with thorn.

He was talking about his hatrick.

Then he said he would love to get us in the cup as sky blues fan.

They said cov are struggling.

He then made the comment about thorn.

Seemed his genuine view as a fan not as a player.

Seems to have no relevance to anything to me. The clueless one has left the building. Let's just breathe a collective sigh of relief and move on.

I suspect, as you're aware, that his decision with regards what club to join was primarily swayed by not being able to join due to a transfer embargo a club on the cusp of being taken to court for non-payment of rent. As opposed to a well-funded and comparatively transparent club in Swindon

Christ,

Are we going to have to have another sub-forum now?

"Players that were linked to us, but signed for somebody else instead"?

And nothing to do with the enthusiasm and energy of their manager versus our mumbling dullard. What about the players that have joined us? I thought you were saying we needed to pay homage to the Great Scout.

Are you now saying we were the only club interested?

He's a player who wanted to join us and was only prohibited from considering us seriously by constraints beyond Thorn's control.

He speaks highly of Thorn as a current player who interacted with him and evidently didn't see him as you do. I'll stick with his appraisal over yours, cheers

Well your judgement is exemplary. Your assessment of the situation at 45 minutes on Saturday truly encapsulated the mood of the people didn't it?

I would have thought you were Stuart Linnels blog writer other than he does not indulge your panchant for medieval English.

Give up he's gone just be grateful we haven't been damaged beyond repair.

Surely if he REALLY wanted to come and we really wanted to him we would have told him that the embargo would be up in a day or 2 so to hold fire. Somebody in the club would have known when the embargo would be up so we could have asked nicely for a slight delay.

Admit you were wrong in this one then. Just once. You assert he didn't join us as he didn't want to play for a 'clueless, mumbling dullard'; which appears wholeheartedly at odds with the player's own statement that he's disappointed to see Thorn go. The two are wholly at odds with one another, and so your assertion left floundering

No it doesn't. On national radio what do you expect him to say? Actions speak louder than words and you've been floundering on here since the clueless one has gone.

Maybe he'd already waited. And waited. And waited. And became ever more tired of broken promises. As per the Marlon King farce?
