...is you can make a killing at the bookies.

You can get Peterborough at 7/5 to win on Saturday. Ridiculously long odds.

Fill your boots.

The only silver lining regarding CCFC right now is inside SP's suit.

£5 bet returns £7?

Is that the odds or I'm just thick at math ( I am anyway)

£7 profit and you get your stake (£5) back. Worth a £20 bet all day

Me neither.

Surely if you bet on a 3-1 win to Bristol last Saturday and it was 2-1 with us pushing for an equaliser, then part of you would be hoping for Bristol to score again wouldn't it? Especially if you were to get a tidy sum out of the bet.

I have never ever bet against the City.

Couldn't bet for my own team. Makes me even more pissed off when we lose.

Golden rule for me. Never, ever bet on the City.

I might put a bet on it, at least it means we'll get something out of the game if I do

Nope. My rule is I never put a stake on big enough that I wouldn't rather lose the money.

A bet is abet for a reason, your not always going to win! At least if you gamble on City to lose and they do it's quids in. If by the faint chance we pick up a victory your bet loses but team wins, so win win both ways imo.
One thing for sure we are pretty much a dead cert for both teams to score this season.

I've done it from time to time. Never massive sums, and tbh the bet doesn't even come into your head when the game's on, you want the result same as everyone.

It's just the (small) payback for watching the rubbish though.

A hedge, as it were.

Then I wouldn't be making the bet in the first place.

Or, indeed, spending the cash on a ticket!

The last month has been good that's for sure. Mostly all around evens apart from crewe where I got 2-1.

7-5 for Peterborough wants 5k sticking on it. Easiest 7k of your life.

I bet with my head not my heart.

I have lost a fair bit doing my normal bets this season. Not come in once. If behind at HT we have not come back to win and the rare times we are winning at HT we have not lost. Losing me a tenner a game.

But last night won a few quid again. £50 evens Oldham win and 11/4 £20 Oldham starting on -1. Lost a tenner on normal bet so ended up £95 up. And will keep it up until SP changes things and I have at least hope of a draw. Depressing times.
