Only real surprise is Packers giving up picks to draft Love (especially as just given Rodgers a big 4 Yr deal). Love is a good prospect but Packers had bigger needs.
Perhaps Patriots trading down. Means they must have a QB plan but would have thought they'd draft him some weapons.
Happy enough with Jefferson and Gladney but vikings 1st round receiver picks not a good record. Rest of draft will be around defense and an O line man presumably.

I am buzzed. Neighbours must have been wondering why I was cheering at half 1 in the morning.

said early last season he's the best player in this draft. a game changer. Teams will be double teaming him from the off.

day 2 & 3 is when teams can really make or break their drafts. Finding players good enough to start in rounds 2 through 5.

Yeah, can really feel that with the impact McLaurin had last season. A decent corner, TE and some O line help, maybe a veteran receiver in a trade and we look like a decent team.

Young will have huge impact as you said with him being double teamed it opens things up for the rest of the line to make an impact.

think you'll take a receiver - so many good ones still left (easily into round 3). possibly strongest receiver class ever.
Poor TE class. there's 3 or 4 top corners left and decent O line options into round 3 at least.

I'd love to land Kmet but don't think he'll last until the 3rd. Rumours Trent deal is done with the Browns a 3rd or 4th this year and a 2nd next,k would be happy to have that done although it's 12 months too late.

I like Asiasi from UCLA if Kmet has gone. Not quite as big but quicker and can block.

After Trump states we could inject bleach and Gronk coming back are we going to have a "Don't eat Tide Pods" follow up?

like the picks but don't like trading down with the Saints unless they're going to trade back up. although 4 extra picks in exchange for 1 was a big price.
Going into last day with 13 picks seems like overkill. Spielman does get carried away with accumulating picks
Maybe we're going to take Eason if still available.

think 4th round begins at 5pm Uk time and obviously is quicker as 5 mins for 4th-6th round picks and 4 minutes for 7th round

Apparently Williams turned down a trade to Vikings. Had offered to 3rd round picks plus some lower round picks.

Apparently because vikings don’t have enough cap space to pay him what he wants. He’s become toxic.

Don't think it got to money. Vikings would have released Harris to create cap space.

Think he may have his eyes on 49ers or Rams but they hadn't got much to offer Skins in this year's draft. Rams aren't flush with cash either.
Minnesota press saying he doesn't get on with Cousins either.

Trent to SF for a 5th this year and 3rd next.

Just glad for him to be gone now and move on

Love the way different experts grade team drafts (and in particular lower round picks) so differently.
Like our main picks. Holes covered, interesting backups but wish Spielman had packaged some of the 3rd day picks to move up for maybe one more O line (although they do seem keen on last year's backups stepping up). Also with 12 picks already for next year's draft could have been a bit more aggressive.
Ravens and Cowboys probably 2 best drafts. I'll wait for our mate to pop up but Packers probably had the worst

I wouldn't say that, they've needed an upgrade at QB for a few years now! :stop:

Usual off season nonsense. Players getting themselves into trouble. Giants, Bills, Skins, Seahawks latest.
PL players specialise in sex scandals, NFL seem to specialize in weapons, domestic abuse and drugs

At least the drugs thing shouldn't be such an issue now they aren't going to be tested for weed. In a strange situation where they can be put in prison for possession but their job is ok with it. They need to just go legal over there instead of this mad half way system.

Seems to be worse than ever this year. That stuff with Dunbar and the Giants rookie robbing back stuff they lost gambling is like something off a TV program

With the rule change protecting QBs so much I'm sure Rodgers believes he can play into his 40s like Brees and Brady.
Seems what teams are looking at is the amount of cap space these QBs take up. Packers maybe thinking can get 2 years out of Rodgers then Love steps up and they release a huge amount of cap space from 2022.

Cam to Pats. 1 year deal.
Typical Belichick move.
Keep Cam healthy and he's still a big game QB.

7.5m guaranteed too. If he manages to stay healthy that is a game changer.

It’s pretty much done on a percentage of the cap isn’t it?

Looks like it's a 6 year deal in reality but heavily loaded on the bonus side rather than salary side. Stil counts against the cap but obviously he has to start each season to get the big money.
