I agree he hasn't got the options he has had in the past which is part of why he's not looking great. Some great QB's have looked poor due to having no protection from the O-line. But that's why I think he's missing Gronk - even when he didn't have many options before he was a solid backup that due to his size and strength he could aim the ball at and even if he wasn't being targeted he also occupied DB's giving others a bit more space to receive the ball. But Belichick will find a solution somehow - the man sold his soul to the devil at some point!

Bills putting themselves right in the mix.
Defense is still their strength but offense more than useful. Mcdermott doing a good job. Just shows what a decent draft and an intelligent free agency can do.

Garrett done in Dallas. They've invested so much into their offense - it just has to be used better.

Jerry Jones with his fingers in the pie again, muddying everything up.

Giants look set for another top 5 pick. You'd have to think that eventually they'll manage to draft a decent team.

I agree. Garrett has been poor but IMO the big reason Cowboys under achieve is Jones constantly having to have his say and pick players he wants. Can you imagine Belichick putting up with that much interference? If Jones genuinely wants the Cowboys to be contenders he's got to get a coach and let them make the decisions. If Jerry then doesn't want to provide the money for a particular player that's his choice but just signing people based on his own wants rather than what the team requires is a recipe for failure.

The Mountaineer Shot. Now officially my favourite new play.

I love it.

The Eagles looked completely baffled.

Weekend of surprise results.
Ravens impressive (as were the 49ers).

Grudging admiration for the Dolphins players. Looked like they'd been stripped of all their weapons by management and on course for 0-16. Picking up 3 wins with the worst running game I can remember.

Skins had a good win. Raiders were shocking against the Chiefs. Jets surrendering to Bengals. Mayfield showing once again why he's still a college QB.

Nicely finished off by Seattle last night. Seahawks with a nice trick play of their own. Carson and Penny doing damage too. Looking like real contenders now

bigger tests to come but glad to get W back on the board

Really nice performance from them, looked in control throughout apart from the period between the batted pass return and half time.

They could be a real contender if they can get to 1 seed, probably between them and NO now. No one will want to be going to Seattle in December/Jan

That batted pass was just a freak play.

I loved the fake punt. More of this kind of stuff please.

I bet the Browns, Jets, Bills and Cards are looking at Baltimore with some envy right now.

I fully expect a packers win. Just want to see improvement in Haskins, the young players do well and the defence continue to improve.

I think I'd rather a close loss meaning we play well against you but keep a decent draft spot.

I want to see NY win a few now to keep them away from Chase Young.

Got a feeling Newton might be done completely. I’d rather we see how Haskins develops anyway, he’s improving week by week now.

For all the plaudits Jackson is getting people would do well to consider why Newton is done at 30. Too many hits running the ball early in his career.

Happened with RGIII too. He took some mighty hits in risking his limbs for a few more yards.

Feel like the Panthers are on a hiding to nothing with Cam... re-sign him and his injuries will probably continue you, trade him in the summer or lose him in Free-agency next year, and you know he'll be back to his best and make the decision to let him go look silly.

As for Riverboat Ron, it's probably been coming (although the timing is strange in it being mid-season) as it's only the brilliance of McCaffrey that has covered over the cracks in the team

I wouldn't want to be a member of Bellichick's family today, or his neighbour, or anyone in the grocery store, or the post lady, or at the petrol station, or at the bank, or the pizza guy, or the paper boy, or anyone who lives within about 50 miles of his house .

Two dreadful decisions by the officials last night denied the Patriots two clear touchdowns.

Even from the TV, for that touchdown that wasn't given, the player seemed to keep his foot inbounds.

Strange that the 3 worst calls on that game all seem to be made by the same official.
They've admitted they couldn't clearly see the out of bounds for the TD. So call the TD as it automatically gets reviewed.

Every year Saints have a crazy home game where the scoring is more like a basketball score.

I’m not saying it’s anywhere near as important but there was a clear delay of game penalty not given against GB last night and when a flag finally did come in it was for holding against the Skins. It’s baffling that they get so much wrong with time and technology to call it correctly.

Okay..... here's a question....what would be your nightmare Superbowl? A matchup where you truly dislike both teams and want neither to win.

I think I have always been lucky, because there has always been a team I have been able to root for, even if it has been just for the day.

And when Dallas make it, it's anyone but Dallas.

New England Philly was bad. New England Dallas would be worse.

Just the monotony of them always being there is boring. You have to respect them for being at the top so consistently in a league built for parity but they are annoying.

On the other side, apart from your team who would you like to see make it? I've got a lot of time for Russell Wilson and it's crazy Rodgers has only got one ring.
