You have to fancy the jack in the box Mahomes to have a lot more joy than that of the static Rivers, who got pummelled last night.

Very tough to call the games though for sure.

I am very happy with the results. Pats are my second team and I have great admiration for Bees and wanted both the Eagles and Cowboys to lose due to the NFC East rivalry.

I like all the teams left now and would be happy with any of them winning the Super Bowl. In fact, unless the Pats make the final I will find it hard as to who to root for.

Yeah and there's no way any of the games could have gone the other way is there.

It's not like the Eagles were pushing for a game winning TD and were just outside the redone against NO is it.

That game could easily have gone either way.

Mahommes could be hard to stop if on form.

Oh and do you hear at least 4 times it mentioned that Brady is the GOAT?

He's exciting to watch. Wouldn't mind if they win it

I'm obviously rooting for the Patriots.

Would love to see Brady earn that 6th Super Bowl ring and then retire.

You should want that too. Might finally allow Rodgers to be the GOAT at last.

it's still an astonishing achievement the way NFL is set up that a side can reach 8 consecutive Championship games.

Yeah. Said the same on Sky Sports last night.I

The whole system.. is geared in favour of the very bad teams and totally against the top teams.

What NE have done is truly astonishing.

It is. Always contenders year in year out

Also shows I could play QB and would still make playoffs in that team.

That window closed when Mahomes arrived, think there's more chance of Rodgers' entire family turning up at Lambeau to cheer him on

I can see Mahommes being an all time great. Early days yet, but he has everything in his locker.

Right can't call them so gonna just pick the superbowl i'd like to see - Chiefs & Rams
Chiefs because they are a fresh alternative to Pats. Pats still playing same efficient (if slightly dull) football they've always played.
Rams - because i want them beaten at the last hurdle. Can't get much closer to trying to buy a title than the Rams have done. Big free agency money, trading away future draft picks as part of a win-at-all-costs philosophy. Also think Anderson is a huge signing that can negate Brees being a better QB than Goff. Rankins going to be a big miss against the run as well
But if the Rams can go to Saints and win then they're probably good enough to win it all unfortunately. Did tip them pre-season on here because of moves they were making.

Been reading a lot this week and really is 50-50 amongst pundits across the board on both games.

That last game between them was insane too. A repeat of that would be excellent.

The two wise old heads at QB trying to outthink each other.

That's what it is. That is not a prediction, that is a wish fulfilment for that lineup.

I think the Chiefs will beat the Pats. Not so sure on the other game , but probably the Saints.

Woulda only want to see the pats win it if Brady retires after.

It will do the game no good players like him carrying on forever as the quarterbacks are so protected

I agree and I would like to see him quit on the back of a SB win.

I can't think of anything worse than any player in any sport becoming a pale shadow of their former selves.

Would like to see Chiefs - Rams SB but can't see it happening. Also after the game earlier in the season there's no way it could live up to that.

Saints at home I expect to disrupt the Rams and certainly have enough all round talent to see them off.

If Pats were at home I'd go with them too but away I think it'll be an exciting game. Chiefs offense will have to be on top form though as their defence isn't going to keep the Pats out even though they played well last week. Pats have shown some vulnerability in the season so I'll go with the Chiefs - Mahomes deserves to win it after the season he's had.

IF Brady were to retire after winning then that's the only reason I'd want the Pats to win. But he wouldn't.

It does seem really strange how a nation that on the whole hates socialism sets up it's sporting leagues on those kind of terms with wage caps and drafts. Yet somehow it still manages to be a capitalists dream and allows very rich owners to use the teams to generate a lot of money for themselves.

would have wage control was a capitalist's heaven
Concept of a draft makes sense given the "small" number of teams in a large market. Too much domination in a small market will effect income and interest for the overall product.

Kind of, but it would depend on who the wage cap was for and to what extent. On one hand it gives them a good excuse for not paying more of the pot to the players and so can profit excessively themselves, but at the same time it stops them developing their brand and becoming market leaders. How many capitalists would agree with being told what they can spend their money on?

It's a weird form of elitist socialism that protects the few fortunate enough to be able to afford a franchise, even against their own incompetence, by sharing out the pot more evenly between them. What can we call it? Socialitism? Sociapitalism? Sociapitalitism?

I am convinced that if Mahommes has a very good game the Chiefs will win.

Pats need to disrupt him.

No a great QB.
Too often called just a system QB but much more than that.
Consistently one of the best under pressure QBs which makes him a game-winner in his own right.
Brady retires and the love will come flowing in but it's like the Liverpool/Utd thing people will turn on perennial winners.
Plus NFL stars just shouldn't be over 40 (much the same as boxers)
