I think they need to change the rules on icing the kicker. Seems mean spirited at best and unfair.

Chargers young kicker last night put a perfectly good field goal through, but was then forced to take it again because the Denver head coach called a for a timeout a split second before the kicker sent the ball through the posts.

Doesn't seem at all right. Sure, call a timeout before the guy steps up to take his kick, but to do it when he is going through his kick, making the movement to the ball, having the ball snapped and then the kicker actually going through the motion of kicking it and then completing it just doesn't seem fair.

Simple change of the rule that once the motion is started a TO cannot be called.

I'd go with that, the current rule takes gamesmanship way too far for me.

Its something that's so obvious you wonder why its not already in place. You've got the play clock which gives you a limit on getting yourselves together for the next play, you shouldn't be able to wait until the last second and call a TO because you haven't got yourselves together or to try and throw the opposition off.

Well it's the latter in this instance isn't it. Doing anything to unnerve the kicking team.

Have to agree. Having followed the NFL for a few years now (not as many as most I'm guessing, only since the Seahawks won the Superbowl a few years ago), I can't understand why this is still a thing.
I get its a competitive game and that they all face this situation but it doesn't seem very sportsman like.
As you said just changing it so a TO is called before the snap and it should be fine.
But then I've a soft spot for the chargers (well part of me has, the other is annoyed they moved to LA when LA already had the rams).

---
Hopefully Seahawks Offense starts to gel a bit more in the coming games, the Sea@GB was a good game, but it was all the defense.
3 out of 4 in the NFC west lost their opening game :/, usually its one of the hardest divisions.

Just saw the highlights from yesterday. Much better but I'd still like to see them dominate a team at some point. Still a road win is a road win and 1-1 is a hell of a lot better than 0-2

Just squeaking past San Francisco at home with the first TD of the season near the end of the second game isn't the hot start I was hoping for.

I see the much fancied Dallas got hammered too.

Wasn't expecting Washington to beat the Rams, but they needed to and duly obliged.

Happy bunny this morning. It was the running game too, much simply didn't function the week previous.

Just watched the other NFC east highlights. Good to see eagles and cowboys both lose.

KC looking good so far, especially with the win over the Patriots, but i'd be worried about how close they came to letting the Eagles back in.

You never know which Cowboys team is going to turn up, hopefully the poorer version of them seen this week is on display more often this season.

Sanders and Anderson looked so impressive for the Broncos. Would love that sort of energy in the 'skins offence.

Raiders next up for the Skins. Going to be a tough matchup. Hoping Jordan Reed is back after going out of the game injured yesterday and hoping Rob Kelley will be okay too, but it is looking unlikely.

Giants lost last night too. Looks much better for the Resakins now than it did before the weekend. Going to be a close division.

Hope so.

Very much Superbowl favourites of many, the Giants.

Who would have thought they would be 0-2.

The chances of a team on a 0-2 start then making the playoffs is 10%.

This keeps the NFC East close. Shame the Skins put in such an inept effort in, in that first game against the Eagles.

Oh and can I just add, brilliant though he is, I really do not like Odell Beckham at all as a person.

Very tough for WSH this weekend, a part of me cant believe Oakland are only -2.5 on the handicap in most places, their offence vs our D scares the life out of me and we never perform on primetime especially at home!

The only positive I can see is that the Jets put up 20 points on them last weekend which will give Kirk and the offence a bit to go at, don't expect Kelley to play so Thompson and Perine will get most of the action on the ground, would be a huge scalp to pick off one of the AFC West teams who look very dominant this season. Lose and we go to Arrowhead on a wing and a prayer to avoid going 1-3.

Shame to see A Rodgers fumbling around again this weekend, they were well in the game until he threw the interception which gifted ATL a TD before the half and then coming out after the break and fumbling a desperate backwards pass, gifting the Falcons 14 points around the half.

Expect him to take out his frustrations on a woeful Cinci team this weekend.

Yeah, I did watch it. Cracking game. I missed the offensive pass interference call though. Was it the right call?

Yup, go Bucs.

It feels as though the only chance the 'skins have this year is if Giants, Cowboys and Eagles are just as bad.

Our defence looks half decent retrospectively keeping the Rams to 20 points

Yeah, big gaps in the coverage though against the Eagles at times.

On Monday night the Skins have to get to Derrick Carr I feel. Could be key. Need to blitz, put him under pressure and hurry up his throws.

Decent start by the Jags against a good Ravens defence.

Wow!! What a night of NFL. Pure drama in the Pats game, the Bears game, the Lions game and in the Eagles game and that's why at times American Football is the best sport in the world

Lions thought they won too and Bears had a crazy non touchdown and the Pats with only about 30 odd secs left on the clock.

Well I did not see that coming. Looked so comfortable too. Big game next week. If we can go 3-1 then it looks like a great start all of a sudden. Don’t fancy us against the chiefs at all but then 49ers is winnable and I’d bet on us being fired up to get revenge on the Eagles after that non performance first game.
