Anybody play Madden. I bought 16 the other day and I'm hooked. Never really got it before but I'm really enjoying it now I understand the sport a bit more.

I decided to be the Cardinals after watching that documentary I'm 2nd in the NFC West with 2 games left. I'm 11-3 behind the Seahawks who are 12-2. I've got to play the Packers who are also 11-3 and then the Seahawks.

Just played an amazing game against the Eagles, needed a touchdown to win in the 4th and threw an interception in the end zone and thought I'd fucked it but next play their QB fumbled it when being sacked and my linebacker just walked it in.

Playing Madden is one of the best ways to get the hang of how the sport works for sure. Games are pretty much how I got into it in the first place, in the 80s I had some kind of Top Trumps with oversized cards featuring The Fridge and Dan Marino, and then on the NES there was a precursor to Madden where you could basically zigzag around an entire defence and waste time if you had the lead. In hindsight, that game was awful.

My problem with properly getting in to the sport is not knowing more than 10 players

It's also hard to just pick a team I'm not used to it. I used to like the patriots because they had England in their name but nobody likes to be a glory supporter. Should you pick a city and support all of their sports teams? Any advice on who to chose?

I followed Seattle due to visiting the area, but they were also rubbish at the time which made it easier. If you find yourself gravitating towards a team for whichever reason, I'd go with it and balls to the justification.

I also don't really want to pick a team that's for a 'red' state full of mental christians.

Might go to one of the Wembley games this year and just see if I like one of the teams.

Good Old Aaron Hernandez was found dead in his prison cell this morning after hanging himself. Such a waste of talent!!!!

He was indeed an excellent player and someone I admired as a footballer. What a pathetic waste of a life.

He had just been acquitted of the double murder charge? Strange timing

On a lighter note, schedules released tomorrow, Patriots rumoured to be opening the season at home to the Chiefs on Thursday night!

it will be interesting to see if the year out has done him good to get healthy as he was struggling with injuries before he retired, or if he comes back and has completely lost. it seems the contract is a pretty safe one in the raiders favour so its worth the gamble and lynch gets to play for his home town team before they up sticks to vegas

Coming into a team that should be challenging for the AFC title next season depending on how Carr comes back.

AP sigend with the Saints and talk that Blunt may be off to New York, gotta like that Giants offence if they can get a run game going!

Still can't decide on a team. Might just remain a casual observer until a team comes to London.

He's a strange one, Cutler. Sometimes he looks Superbowl material, but then at another times he makes a stack load of mistakes and throws interceptions

Is he your starter then?

If you can't decide on a team it should be the Redskins.

Best looking. Nicest kit, lovely club song, nation's capital.

You know it makes sense.

I do like the Redskins but the name shit and the wanker owner puts me off. I do like a good tight end though and Reed is some player.

It's a good division too with the Giants and the Cowboys (poor Eagles) means you get a lot of decent games.

We got a drubbing last week at Baltimore, but I am never too worried about pre season games. Lots of non starters get game time and QB's are often quickly replaced early during matches.

It's a chance to try out a few things, give some rookies a chance and let free agents try and make their mark etc.

I see Cousins hardly had any game time last time out, same too for the first choice running backs.

We play Sunday.

I've been playing madden and the Redskins drafted me as their QB after i left the lions because I couldn't get a game because of Stafford. They started me and within 2 seasons i won the Super Bowl. Think I have my team. @Otis clue me up on them.
