Are all against teams below us in the league (albeit Sheff Weds could jump above us tonight).

Either side of the international break we have Sheff Weds - currently 19th (h), Preston currently 22nd (a), QPR currently 20th (a) and Luton currently 18th (h).

A real decent chance to really kick start our season.

WWDW. 18 points from 12 games would be a reasonable first quarter and a bit of the season

I'm not sure current positions mean a lot still. I'd say 15 games in can look at it that way. I'd treat all those games with the reverence they deserve. Especially with our Preston record.

I'm going WWLD - same points, different order!
(I'm already getting annoyed at the thought of Ilias Chair after last season at the CBS) .

Yeah, kind of agree. I'd still rather be playing 4 teams who've generally 'not won a lot' already this season than teams who done well.

That said, we did thump Blackburn last night!

Win on Saturday.

Lose at Preston.

Then a win and a draw from the other two.

I'd be happy with that.

Preston after an international break really is a lucky dip.
Think we'll finally break the curse this year

If we don't win away at PNE this year we never will - they are utter dogshit

We'll do Preston, they are this year one of the worst teams I have seen

PNE mate of mine is convinced they will go down - That being said think they have a decent manager and will eek their way out of it

16 points from the next six would set us up nicely for the big boys.

10 points from 4 would put us on a ppg for 7th place
7 has to be the minimum from those games

Am I right in saying if we beat Wednesday it is actually the best we have started a season since 2021

Albeit it's not a very high bar to beat

This is where fans continually go wrong. Just take it one game at a time.

With the exception of Leeds people expected a lot more from the first 6 games. Things change too fast to look that far ahead. I'm sure if all those teams look at cov just in terms of the table they will be thinking the same.

20/21: 8
21/22: 19
22/23: 7
23/24: 11
24/25: 8 with a game to play

That looks about right to me.

I think we can take it as read that we will lose to Preston, given that when we last beat them God was still a young child.

Preston are a bogey team, and Luton (like us) haven't become a crap side overnight.....

So i'd agree 7 points would be good.

Would imagine we'll slip up in one of the other two "easier" games though, and probably end up with 6.

What's wrong with you cucks?

Anything less than 13 points from the next 4 games and I'll be calling for Robins head.

We will probably go and win five or six in a row now. Followed by two points out of a possible 21.

Win again on Saturday = Going up, Robins is our King

Lose on Sat = those same people saying Robins out and moaning about coaches with iPads.

I think it would equal it

Pretty sure we've already matched our best start to a season since 2021 after 8 games

Our downfall last season was our form against the top six, something we need to improve on this time around

I remember seeing these posts in August about how easy our start to the season and we were going to be top ! One game at a time they're all really tough in this league and we've proven we're a mixed bag, impossible to look at anything like this yet

Yet we were unlucky to lose first game and turned them over here, same regarding Leeds, who else certainly Ipswich, Norwich, mental block seems to take over there, Hull, all those post cup game against Man utd,are connected with upheaval, I blame the owner for that poking his nose in!
