er sorry to be the voice of doom again, but apart from the odd tap in like tonights goal, can anyone tell me where these goals are going to come from to win a game? we could be the first team in the league to go through a whole season without a win

I am very much not for judging anything at all until at least 10 games in. Do feel though if we lose the next 3 this season, which would then mean 5 in a row we will be in big trouble and may simply not recover at all.

A number of defeats in a row at the start of a campaign is so much more devastating than later on the season as in that second scenario you can at least look back to little good runs you have had and games you have won and have some belief that maybe you can recapture that form somehow. Start losing from the offset and having to endure a run of defeats with a very thin squad and a bunch of kids and I think that must be so deflating for everyone inside the club, from players to coaches.

Think everyone is pretty much down as it is. 4 or 5 defeats at the very start of the season is something we just may never recover from and attendances will drop like a stone to boot.

Think our only hope this season was to have a good start.

And so he should be. You can't blame a workman for bad tools.

Or in this case, a lack of tools.

Usually we win a load at the start and then fall apart towards the end of the season, maybe we're going to start badly and then take the league by storm when we make a few signings in the new year... here's hoping!

Juke hit the bar with his header from 1 yard!! at least the natural poacher was on hand to tap in. Some decent chances created last night but if we don't sort our finishing out we are in deep do do! gutted about the result but not gonna panic yet, the results will come if we keep going the way we are, in ryan lowe they had a goalscorer. Something we desperatly need and i am certain we will get, maybe they are waiting for the squads to be announced in the premier before a loanee comes in, or maybe we will get ALF....who knows, but we do need someone, and i think 1 or 2 goals going in and games will start too swing in our favour. Sat and last night would have been different outcomes for the sake of a goal here and there. (and i don't mean the obvious 1-0!!)

Usually we have a squad at the start of the season, before injuries hit and our form dips. I hate to think what's going to happen if one of Clingan or Juke go down (or are sold!!!).

I started out being realistic (negative some said), nothing's changed my mind so far - anything but relegation would be successfull!!!

Totally agree it will be a major achievement by Andy Thorn if we can stay up. Just can't see Sam staying, he had not been offered enough money in his new contract, Juxy will get totally pissed off be used like a cart horse doing all the work. We will have the youth team playing for us
