EMC ...got a couple of goals looks out of his depth ..couple of step overs no pace MISS

Raphael Borges... who I hear you ask

BTA.. come from West Brom who must be pissing themselves at getting 2 million for him MISS

Binks... not what we needed, why the hell did we sign him when he hardly played last season MISS

Norman... still very raw possibly a decent player time will tell MISS at the minute

Dovin... still unsure on him could be a decent developing number 2 if we had a number 1 MISS at the minute although better than what we are playing

Rudoni... think he would be better with some decent players around him but not as good as COH MISS at the minute

Me for doing this thread MISS

All stealing a living. Relegation fodder. It’s going to be hard to stomach the rest of the season which like most I fear the worst. Every game it’s men v boys with little to no enthusiasm. They turn up they get paid they fuck off home.#GODHELPUS

Rudoni has probably been the best one to be fair but has been too hit and miss.

This. If you’d picked him up for £2m you’d be saying great little prospect. For £5m or whatever he should be much better or much more consistent.

No different to O'Hare really. People remember O'Hare's best bits, but there was loads of rabbit holes and no end product most of the time.

I think O'Hare is a lot better than him apart from in the hair style stakes.

Thing with O'Hare was that he was so active that he always occupied opposition players.

Rudoni has a better passing range and is a better technical footballer, but he doesn't have anything like the impact on our game as O'Hare did.

Wild to met how you can have a young striker who has just turned 20, is hungry, makes intelilgent runs, and runs his socks off every week and someone decides to call him out as a "miss" signing

we have odd fans

O’Hare would carry the ball forward and was often a link between the defense and attack. Remember silly season when after 2-3 games people were saying Rudoni was the better player………..

Weren't Simms and Wright sh*t until about this time last season? Hoping this thread ages as well as the ones we had on them.

They’re all good players and will come good. It’s more likely that the coaching/tactics has been at fault more than these players being bad.

I can definitely see Lampard culling more coaches in the summer if he starts to do well.

COH was always getting lots of free kicks for us…not sure how many we get in the final third these days.

These players are in and until they improve or hit form they are all going to be a miss. None are showing any consistency in performance and some don't look capable of reaching the level needed. What i would say to give some balance is they have had multiple coaches, assistants and managers in a short time span. Which brings multiple different opinions on every aspect of the game on how to improve as a player. They are all young with only 2 with decent amount of championship experience in them. So in judging them that has to be factored in..

What we need to do now in my opinion is change the scope of who we are looking at. Because i think we made a few mistakes by narrowing the target market. We went young with an eye to develop and not enough on a mixture of young legs, old heads and high energy players in key positions. The major miss has always been the replacement of Hamer in my opinion, that has caused a serious floor in our progression.

I hope FL was determined in talks with Doug to say he needs availability within the loan market, with an open mind on the players needed and with always an eye on development of players to maximize investments made. As for DA he provides list of players within the scope given by the manager, i bope that scope has changed.

This summer of recruitment was pretty disastrous really. How many get into our strongest side when everyone is fit? The only bit of business I really like is Bassette but he’s already started more games than I’d have expected him to all season when he first signed and clearly isn’t ready to be playing week in week out.

We’d have to try and beat a man in the final third and I think that idea gives our forwards, apart from Haji, the vapours.

Simms showed last year with the right service and smoke blowed up him he can score goals, this season we have him chasing about which I don't think he is intelligent enough to play that role so if we don't play to his strengths and don't intend on doing that sell him while he has a reasonable stock price

I am surprised that the Moneyball stats pro who identified the players is still so highly regarded by DK! He was shoulder to shoulder with him at the fans forum to explain the MR sacking using words like 'deck of players' mimicking the way Austin talked

Yeah and thats why he’s now regularly playing for a team that’s top of the league.

The summer was about squad building, recruiting promising players and filling the gaps left by the loss of Hamer. O’Hare was clearly for himself. We lost Palmer unexpectedly of course. Yet people discount the likes of those two.

Think it's pretty obvious by now, Hamer was impossible to replace and we'd have to be very astute to find another one of his capabilities. What really pisses me off is that he's still in the championship

O'Hare 20 matches 2 goals 3 assists
Rudoni 20 matches 2 goals 5 assists

Yet O'Hare is in the better team.

I think all of them (aside from Raphael, as he's still a complete unknown) still have potential to turn out decent, but could really benefit from a proper leader in the team.
Already been said before but feel it's a case of too many new faces, but nobody to knit them all together

People were happy with Wright to be sold back to Turkey around this time last year as well

Indeed. As with plenty topics on the forum, people jumped on that particular bandwagon and it gained a lot of momentum. A fair amount of extreme opinions, if I remember correctly.

O’Hare is missed massively, take out the drop in form when he knew he was going and I’d say he was our best player. Even when he didn’t have the ball he was everywhere- pressurising, pestering, winning free kicks, he’s a huge loss.

He got slated on here as there was bitterness around who he went to & the manner of it, but that’s silly- we miss him very badly.

They turn up Covcraig@bury....really?

They seem to have plenty of people fooled, even the new coach thinks they're a talented bunch and they want to do well for the club.

They want to start taking some responsibility the weedy bunch of cosseted Billy No Bollocks fraudsters.
