I myself have been encouraged by the actions of the new look board since they have come into place for a number of reasons, and before you all shoot my thread down in flames I know it's only the start and the jury is still out but there is a number of actions which have been very encouraging already.
• Communication and trying to communicate with the fans, even if it is through twitter or the telegraph - Clouting has spoken quite a lot about things such as season ticket sales
• Exploring all avenues with regards to the manager - By looking at all available options and what we could do and who we could bring in as well as keeping Andy thorn well in the frame. They didn't make a knee jerk decision
• (The most impressive thing) Showing the initiative to offer a one year rolling contract after realizing that Andy Thorn was the man and seeing how the fans were responding to him and his tactics - IF, it doesn't work compensation wont be as hefty like previous managers.
• Encouraging fans to get to the Ricoh and see the new look team with deals and cut prices.
• Offering contracts with deadlines and showing communication and informing us about it, showing that they are talking and communicating with Andy and his long term plans.
As I have already said, the jury IS still out on the new board. Funding and how far are head stays above water is the key - however I thought that I should shed some light and recognition for the boards early actions and how I think that they have conducted themselves.
