I myself have been encouraged by the actions of the new look board since they have come into place for a number of reasons, and before you all shoot my thread down in flames I know it's only the start and the jury is still out but there is a number of actions which have been very encouraging already.
• Communication and trying to communicate with the fans, even if it is through twitter or the telegraph - Clouting has spoken quite a lot about things such as season ticket sales
• Exploring all avenues with regards to the manager - By looking at all available options and what we could do and who we could bring in as well as keeping Andy thorn well in the frame. They didn't make a knee jerk decision
• (The most impressive thing) Showing the initiative to offer a one year rolling contract after realizing that Andy Thorn was the man and seeing how the fans were responding to him and his tactics - IF, it doesn't work compensation wont be as hefty like previous managers.
• Encouraging fans to get to the Ricoh and see the new look team with deals and cut prices.
• Offering contracts with deadlines and showing communication and informing us about it, showing that they are talking and communicating with Andy and his long term plans.
As I have already said, the jury IS still out on the new board. Funding and how far are head stays above water is the key - however I thought that I should shed some light and recognition for the boards early actions and how I think that they have conducted themselves.
They have gone about there work in a very efficient way when you consider the position we were in 8 weeks ago no manager no chairman transfer embargo and quite possibly relegation , they deserve great credit however as with all things time will tell if this another false dawn or a march to brighter future
The key phrase was used by Clouting - the CCFC business model is "unsustainable". Either the club gets new investment (unlikely) or SISU move to place the club into administration or start slashing costs to reduce the £500,000/week running deficit.

We got rid of a few players who were on a few quid i..e Carsley, mcindoe etc but lets hope that money is still available and not just being wiped off the debt figures.
We need to give them the opportunity, i know its probably the same people with a different face and have to credibility with the fans at the moment but i suppose actions speak louder than words so the ball is back in their court.
not trying to be negative but isnt all that what you would expect to be done ? It isnt out of the ordinary in the general sense but it is a step forward for CCFC from previous boards.
Movement in the right direction for a change certainly and should be applauded but as you said the jury is still out
I'll wait and see what happens in the summer in terms of players bought/sold before I judge the new-look board. If they sell anyone worth a penny ie Turner and/or Clingan then we'll be back to square one
