just before the kick off he was on his knees praying by the half-way line. I think he id a gem but we risk over exposing him at too young an age to the physicality that is the championship.

I don't know if he was praying for help or thanking the lord but i've not seen anything like it before.

Putting his name like that reminded me that i seen someone with that on the back of their shirt rather than his full spelling!

Anyone else know Christie was still blessing himself looking away from play even after the game had kicked off!

Maybe you get more time for rituals in academy fixtures

At least he doesn't crouch down and cover himself up with a towel....wait, I think I saw someone do that before?

To be fair, everyone has their own way of getting ready for a game. As a basketball player I'll sit on the bench with a towel around my neck with some music on. Then just before tip off if I'm starting I stand on my 3 point line eyes closed looking at the floor. It's just to keep me calm and focused.

I honestly wouldn't read into it. Could be religious, could be concentration building.

That was funny he was waving at fans and not noticing the game had started

Westwood used to the same kind of thing, towel over the head on his knees. But this new lad could well be the future if we treat him right, I've been very impressed last few games I've seen him in.

We're just crying out for someone to stick it in the back of the net.

Doubt he would have made it this far already without religion

Seems like he's got his feet on the ground. Hopefully we'll have him for a season or two at least before he gets a big move.

Yeah I remember Juan Sara! He even had a t-shirt on about Jesus which he shown when he scored!

Jesus has also been in the crowd a few times watching CCFC!! Maybe he'll come more often now!

Unless I'm mistaken, the chap we all call Jesus is big Dave who used to go to my school. Poor buggers been called Jesus for years. We should really play on that more.

One of my fave chants years ago was "Cyrille Regis halleluja, halleluja" when he became a born again christian.
First time it was sung he burst out laughing & had a grin on his face all game.

I've got a t-shirt.

Am I now in a select club or something?

pretty sure we could resurrect (see what I did there) that chant if we could work out how to pronounce his name
