Is it coincidence, is it fate, is it good fortune OR has the sheer magnitude of our march last Saturday finally persuaded/influenced the powers that be to see common sense and get round that negotiating table.

It surely MUST have had a tad of influence as the final meaningful gesture of CCFC fans defiance that finally tipped the scales towards this Fridays pow wow.

I would really like to think so !!!

Don't think we'll ever know. It would be nice to think so. Those that didn't attend because they thought it would do no good well say it made no difference, those that did attend will hope it did. Logic tell you they couldn't ignore it...could they?

I would like to think so after all the hard work and last minute hiccups and to all the people who turned up to show how they feel only a fool would turn a blind eye...............

i think if we do end up back a the Ricoh then Fisher will say that the protest influenced there decision to try and win a few fans back

Well the march certainly influenced / persuaded me.
I went on the march as it was "keep Cov in Cov " and not just Sisu out.
The bottom line with me is keeping Cov here. I want Sisu gone but it was nt and still is nt the bottom line for me.
It did make me decide not to go to Northampton though and that really is a tough one as a long time season ticket holder.
Following the March,the speeches etc I shall join the ranks of away only until we re back home in Coventry.
Still got to say I do nt really like the Ricoh. Maybe when we re back we can have a campaign to get the Council to
scrap the stupid parking restrictions.

since the march i've spoken to 100's of people, only about 20% were on the march,
but unanimously they all echoed KEEP COV IN COV,
unless sisu, the f/l, the f/a, or the judiciary have a hearing problem,
then it's COV IN COV

It's an interesting point.
I suppose Thatcher thought she'd get her poll tax accepted until the riots.
Make no mistake: the protest and the way it was organised and conducted spoke volumes for the depth of feeling amongst Coventrians. Their plea is entirely justified and both sides in the squabble will have been told the same by the FA and so on.
I am hopeful now some sort if resolution will be reached because if not the protest will only grow.

It's a combination of factors but amongst all the bickering Saturdays protest had "justice" on its side.

I must admit my main focus up until recently was to drive out sisu anyway I could. Now it is to return back to the Ricoh. I know most of us would rather be back at Highfield Road including me but recent events have changed my views a little on the Ricoh. I even feel emotional now when I drive past that big presence called home. A lot of new stadiums were built around the same timeline as the Ricoh and I think it looks a damn lot better than most built of that era

Same. If we do get back to the Ricoh I will probably like it a lot more than I did before.

You would like to think that the protest had worked however one thing is for sure in that SISU have little regard to what the fans think. The last 12 months have told us that.

What I think it did was give more fans hope that everyone is in the same boat and changed some viewpoints from 'whats the point' to 'yes this is worth it'. This has had an obvious knock on effect to SISU in that they are probably thinking 'shit, we thought they would all coming flooding back, maybe they wont'.

Returning to the Ricoh is definitely tops for me....the sooner that happens the sooner we'll all feel a whole lot better, no matter what we think of SISU. But it's vital we then fill the stadium and show our true support, or the whole thing would be nothing more than a farce...fingers crossed

And if fisher has even the slightest bit of intelligence he will have realised the numbers on the march will have shown that he under estimated the strength of feeling against playing at sixfields. Thus showing that his figures don't add up.

Interestingly enough I notice he isn't included in these new talks on Friday.

Was Seppalla shocked by the numbers there on Saturday? and told little Timmy 'your figures don't add up pike, you said there would only be a handful, more like a handful only at Northamton'
