The last hurrah of a once great club (4 Viewers)

The more weeks that pass, the more defeats, the closer we get to relegation to League Two the more I genuinely feel that Wembley this year will be our last hurrah. I can see us getting relegated and that being it for our club.

We have owners who don't care, but don't want to sell up, fans who can't agree on anything, ever. Perhaps the worst squad we've ever had, well it must be, this is the worst position we've ever been in.

I'm so massively deflated I can't even begin to describe it, I'm honestly distraught about what's happening to the point that I can't look forward to Wembley, knowing what a sorry state we're in.

I know I'm saying nothing new, and many have felt this way for a long while, but those that know me and watch me post know I'm generally Mr Optomistic. And after years and years of trying to remain upbeat I really am now heartbroken.

Feel like I've been cheated on. Off to the pub to drown my sorrows

Fuck it, if it's one last hurrah stuff the team with academy grads and get Sillett in to manage for the day. None of those here for a wage deserve the experience.

40,000 singing Sisu out would be a statement for potential new owners. Their is no professionalism left on or off the pitch. You have to feel sorry for the players in a sick kind of way, their being shortchanged by the owners as much as we are. It must be a bad place to learn your trade. Off the pitch we have no scouting network, and probably the worst infrastructure in the league with off field staff decimated by Fishers break even at all costs strategy. We will rise again and by showing the potential of the club at Wembley to the right people it might help the start of the sale process.

I believe most fans (including myself) have got so carried away with the whole Wembley Day out that we have ignored totally our abysmally form that will now see up relegated before the Final takes place...No manager could do much with the raw materials and budget he was handed but Slade is clueless and plays Ugly football ...I think after we have enjoyed the Day on April 2nd we should have a peaceful protest.in front of the TV cameras

Everything they touch turns to crap.
Can't wait till the latest joke court adventure turns to crap so we can get on with getting owners who love the club like we do.

Spot on! It will be a new ground where previously we haven't witnessed an almighty thrashing by the opposition. Another one to 'tick off' so to speak. So glad I won't be there.

Certainly something badly wrong at the heart of CCFC. Players and 30,000+ fans well up for Wembley but today under 10k crowd and players not looking like they give a toss either.

What I don't understand is why SISU made the investment in January (and since) then why they didn't make it last summer. If TM had been given funds then it may have been different.
Although it was to little, to late, I blame Slade on how he spent the money. He will claim he was picking up scrapes of out of contract players.

Yes things are not good, that's an understatement I know, but put away the razors, turn off the gas, open the garage door, get off the railway line, loosen the noose. We will turn this around, not this season, but it will turn and when we do it will be all the sweeter.
These idiot owners, who couldn't be worse poisoning the very soul of this club, will go and there will be good times ahead. This is cyclical, a lot of teams have been through it and have come out the other side ( I won't say stronger, certainly scarred by the experience) but return we will and we need to be there to pick up the pieces.
I understand the emotional response to yesterdays defeat, much more than I understand the stupid optimism before the game (don't you guys ever learn?). We are all hurting but throwing in the towel is not the answer.

Yesterday's post was written out of pure hurt but I will never give up on City. I'm just running out of reasons to warrant such an expense to just constantly get let down
