Not hard to see why attendances are low and fluctuate massively with some hope irrespective of SISU or not .

Appalling record by any stretch of the imagination , I know 14 years were top flight but still no top tens ? Dreadful club if your looking for some glory lol , we literally just exist

I honestly think if a European place had been on the table in 87 that side would have been top 6, we took our foot of the gas after winning the semi, we haven't really had a sniff since then.

It's such a shame we never got to play in Europe the following season. It may have transformed the club: a few extra glory seekers coming to support, a higher profile, a couple more quid in the coffers, an extra player or two attracted to the club. The CCFC we know could have been very different.

Sheffield United seasons in top flight? 6 or 7 Coventry 14
Sheffield United major trophies won 0, Coventry 1
Sheff Utd relegated 3 Coventry 2 (at the time of writing)

I don't think we need to get so hung up on support, ours just isn't that good. It doesn't really matter.

Out of interest why Sheff Utd? As there top?
I think if you look at most of the football league clubs or premier league there would be a lot most likely 95% with far more glory than we've had in the last 30 years since our greatest day.
Is there a curse upon us?

Imagine what our fan base would be like if we had Coventry Wednesday up the road.

If Cov Wednesday were there on April 2 the excuses for "why I have to go even though it kills me to" would be even more hilarious than the hand wringing tripe we've had on here in the last couple of weeks.
