What I thought it would be like. I think I would have preferred white shorts, still looks rather smart though.

I think it look's descent was over-hyped but will still be a good kit. A good way to celebrate 50 year's of Sky Blue

I'm afraid unless it somehow looks more impressive at the Reading game I won't be buying. Bit bland and simple. Certainly not the best kit in 50 years and still not impressed by the badge.

Massive fan of looking back to our heritage, just don't think this has quite done the trick. Oh well, here's hoping for a 98/99 re-release for the 12/13 season!

Yeah this isn't that much of a reveal is it? We've been told it's all Sky Blue and we've already seen the Puma badge, new Cov badge and CityLink?

It's just a tribute to the Jimmy Hill era to go in line with the statue, I think the short sleeves will look better. An all sky blue kit sounds good to me!

Play Up Sky Blues

Ha ha once again the club end up looking the fools. So much for the big "reveal" as stated on the screen today. Not bad though, might even buy it.

Someone posted this on the live player chat earlier today, almost seems like it was meant to be leaked lol. Its looks alright, I like our current kit better ! A million times over in fact ! hmm looks like there are pretty old school elasticated stripes on the long sleeves.

Still i'll be pre-ordering anyways, I still regret not getting the brown kit !

Remember the date. Remember where you were when you first saw this. A momentous occasion in history. OMG who would have thought it would look like that? Absolutely gobsmacked here

Anyhow, why has some two-bob celebrity seen it first? No axe to grind with him, he's a City fan after all, but is he any more important than the average fan? Will people be turning up to the Ricoh in their droves to catch a glimpse of John Stape?

I have never seen that bloke before. Could have at least got that fella from westlife who supposedly supports the City, or maybe keysey but it would have to be a female version being modelled for him to be interested.

I'm not as impressed with it as I thought, but may feel differently when I see the short-sleeved version.
We're keeping the current away kit aren't we?

I think I was expecting an old material to be used or something instead of the shiny stuff...

What was the point of showing us a piece at a time when each piece is the same sky blue:facepalm:

I think the new material is better if it help's the player's when their on the pitch.

One of the great properties of polyester for sportswear is that it has fantastic wicking properties. This is mainly because it hardly absorbs any water. Instead water is carried along the fibre, away from the body and evaporates from the surface of the clothes. Polyester will only absorb 0.4% of its weight of water, compared to 4% for nylon and 7% for cotton (under normal atmospheric conditions). Polyester, of course, is also very quick-drying, but even when wet its strength is hardly affected.

I may be alone, but I quite like it! It's what I wanted-all Sky Blue, nice retro shade..you can't really re-do an old kit without working within very limited parameters and being faithful to the original, so I'm not sure what people expected!

Sure, it'd look much better without the sponsor splashed over the middle, but there's no way around that.
