There's pace and there's acceleration. I dont think we've seen enough to say how much he's lost from his top speed, but he still looks to have quick acceleration. He did one great bit of skill and a burst of pace past 3 drawing the foul.That wasn't really showing pace. It was a good turn though.

If he doesn’t even play 90 minutes over a season then I would argue whatever he’s on is too muchNo one wants him to break down again after the last few years. he clearly has the ability. His cameo today was very good. I like him and want to see him uninjured with a full pre season behind him and then lets see what he can do.
If not loan him out to get up to speed and if he breaks down then, well that wil signal the end. But he has worked hard to be where he is and deserves the chance. He's not exactly costing us much is he?

Nah think Tavares deserves a chance ahead of others.100% would start him next weekend. Think I’d put him top of the list of fringe players and id keep him, certainly. But you’d have to see it as very last chance.
