The Florida trip is a huge family trip 12 of us in an 8 bedroom house

Hopefully there’s plenty of other rooms for my unsociable moments

But it will be great memories for the kids

I've been, you'll have a great time Daz. If I could give you one tip - make sure you have a satnav!

Oh shit, the exact day of it. I was never planning to go if we made it anyway, I don't think my nerves could handle it

Really good, about 23 or 24 each day with a bit of breeze so it was just the right temperature for me. The one day where the weather was less than great, it was about three hours of cloud at most and then back to sun in the afternoon. I'd imagine you've got a solid week of sun ahead of you

I have the same problem. But at least I am lots closer to home. Visiting family in France. There are two airports within an hours drive. But they only fly to England every few days. And the same the other way. So will have a 6 hour drive to Calais and then another two hours drive to the game frim Dover. With the ferry crossing it will be about 11 hours each way.

The Chunnel is an hour quicker. But the boat breaks up the journey better.

I'd like to think that the fact I won't be able to follow the game at all is the reverse jinx that will guarantee that not only do we make it there but win in style.

Cheers! Let's hope it's not ruined by a certain football team on Saturday. Take off is at 4.30 so hopefully I will land with us in the play offs

Drive then bridge nowadays.

But still, four hours to Carlisle, stop overnight (Astute or anyone local, any tips for good places to eat in Carlisle?!?) then four hours to Glencoe, stop overnight, then four hours to Skye. Way back will have a stop near the Bells whisky distillery.

Never done Scotland before, bar popping over the border just to say I've been(!) so figured I may as well go big or go home.

Only usually go straight past Carlisle on the way to Scotland.

But there is an excellent place caled David's. Not cheap but also not too expensive. The food is hard to beat. And that includes top restaurants. Not the sort of place I would take my little lad. But the girls yes as they are.never a problem.

Have the place set on my sat nav somewhere. Think it is Warwick Street.

Driving down to Mallorca in July. Taking about three weeks and going to stop in a few places, possibly knock Andorra off the list too!

Currently trying to sort out a belated Honeymoon (thinking possibly Bahamas/USA or Asia somewhere) and a weekend away in September.

No doubt will be in Berlin and or Munich in the coming months for 'work' too.

Midweek prices are excellent. More costly at weekend. But not too bad if you are not feeding kids. And I have paid a lot more and not enjoyed the food at all in other places.

There is a good Italian in the centre with parking outside. It is right outside the fort. But I am not keen on Italian so can't remember what it is called.

They've been around for about a month now and they're only going to get worse. I was told last week that eating a spoonful or marmite a day works but the problem with that is having to eat marmite.

They're going to redevelop Riley Square Bell Green,so knocking our block of flats down. We were told this April/May but now it's going to be end of this year or start of 2019. Told we're all due compensation and me a bungalow too ? So if I get decent money I'll be off on a walking/trekking holiday somewhere. Can't wait.
But as I don't think ahead too much I'll be happy with a Wembley trip shortly ?

We'll see if this is an elaborate practical joke or not.

Avon's spray finds calling as midge repellent for Royal Marines

At least I'll smell nice!

Its true - went and rode the North Coast 500 a year or so back and used it , keeps them away generally - used the Avon stuff - its more like oil - doesnt smell too bad - they sell it in the garages up there

going to France with my lot and my brother and his lot. Renting a villa with a pool etc so a week of chilling out and on the bike in the mornings. Go up to Scotland a few more times but that's about it.

We are saving for a florida trip for the kids in a few years time when they are old enough to appreciate it.
