Any pretty much every time they've asked for more CCC / ACL / Higgs have moved to at least partially meet their demands. I think now we're at a point where if talks are to ever resume SISU have to be the ones to show some willingness.

Why dont Higgs continually bark "its not for sale"

Why dont they then offer it for £60m? Contradicting what they say?

No we do not have to deal with them--they have to deal with us. That's a big difference.
It's them who have no stadium in the City that bears the name Coventry City.

That's fine and dandy then. I'm sure they'll come crawling back anytime soon.

In three weeks they are to reveal details of the final site, this according to Labovitch. Do you believe him?

They may well reveal a site and they may well purchase some land.

I agree, there is minimal risk in paying the market rate for some land in the current financial climate. It will sit as an asset for them, could well prove a decent investment for them, and of course some people may believe a ground will follow in due course. I know you don't think a ground will be built.

This will happen when they either get the Ricoh or run out of any slight reason for litigation.

I'm kind of confused by the OP. SISU started to negotiate for the Higgs share and then pulled out, supposedly owing the charity £30,000. Hence the impending court case.

Both sides are now seemingly committed to court - it seems unlikely that either would trust the other sufficiently to begin a new round of negotiations.

As for olive branches - when was the last time that SISU moved their position towards ACL/Higgs/Cov CC? At every step in the process SISU have asked for more from these parties, not less.

Goalpost moving and legal stuff appears to be the Sisu sport because football certainly isn't.

I actually think they'll buy land and pretend the stadium will be built on it just to put more pressure on acl. What we'll probably find though is the site they secure will be for the new training ground/academy.

They will not purchase land without having spoken to the local Council about feasibility of Building a stadium etc. As we know this has not happend as they all responded. So SISU have less than 3 weeks to achieve all of the above if they are to be believed. Laugh out Loud! (again). If they were serious it would have been done by now.

You would be very foolish to purchase land without planning permission and for such a large structure. The permission to build would have to also include any potential developments, and then local residents could toe this up in court for years.

I've always thought they'd buy the land but they don't even seem able to do that! They could easily buy land, keep it a few years and sell it on losing very little, may even make profit. Also thought they'd get plans out, can't be too expensive to buy 'off the shelf' plans based on someone else's stadium. As we saw we the artists impression you just need to take current work and change it slightly to make it relevant to Coventry. Could easily buy the land, put some plans together and put in a planning application. They can they say to the FL they are doing everything they can and start blaming the local residents, council etc for the hold ups.

They could get that far for, in relative terms, very little. The fact that in 6 months of the project they haven't managed to do any of that says a lot.

Are the plans for the Brentford one available for viewing online anywhere for comparison - if we ever see any plans that is.

There are at least pictures somewhere online, think they were posted on here. You'll be surprised to know by the same company that did our artists impression! Just take the one we were shown and make the seats red and that's pretty much it. Brentford rejected those plans as they weren't ambitious enough for a club of their size.

Yeah I know that the pictures were just Brentford recoloured, I was hoping to be able to compare the plans as well

Must be plans somewhere as there's articles online saying the plans were rejected! All the articles use the artists impassion as I guess that looks better to illustrate an article.

I believe they'll identify land, but afterwards and rather like the whole Brandon fiasco nothing will happen, nothing will come of it.. then when the heat is on again another announcement will be made, but no action will happen... and so on and so on.. and yet some people will remain gullible enough to believe them..
