We are now Halfway through the 2013/14 season.

Considering how bleak things were looking before a ball had even been kicked you have to give a huge amount of credit to the Manager, the Players and the rest of the back room staff who have helped us get to 12th in the league.

Going into 2014 I think the most important thing Pressley can do is find a way to close the flow of goals being conceded, many of which have been individual errors, but in recent games when Jordan Clarke has been out of the side (albeit through injury) Seaborne and Webster have done well at the back together.

So what does everyone hope for in January and beyond? Can we realistically sneak into the play offs? Can we keep hold of the young and exciting talent in our squad that are thriving under Steven Pressley? Will we bring in players in January?

Agreed the game against Rotherham will define our season considering that they sit 6th place and are nine points ahead of us.

Well like mentioned before lets wait until the end of Jan when the transfer window closes.
If the team isn't torn about too much and the injuries are minimal then we have a good chance of top 6.

But then again it is CCFC have been there too many times always ends in tears.

To stay up would be a huge achievement in it's own right, none of this silly promotion shit chat, one game at a time and staying up was always the main objective.
A top 12 finish would be mind blowing considering the -10 and odds on favs for relegation with the bookies, with a relevant tiny young squad and considering many on the bench / in the first 11 are academy players playing their first professional year in the first team.

Staying up.. anything higher than 12 a real coup.

i find it hard at times to believe what SP, the team and his playing staff have achieved this season so far. miracle worker doesn't do him justice, we could have so easily followed Portsmouth to the 4th tier this season. Manager off the season for me, certainly in this league.

i don't think we will make the play offs, we've seen the last few weeks how vulnerable we are once we have picked up a couple off injuries. i would take it if it come and if we did get to Wembley i would put NOPM to one side for the day.

Survival in league one would be a bonus. Personally I fear a fire sale could well take place in January--with the likes of
L,Clarke--Wilson--Fleck--Moussa--Christie and maybe Murphy heading for pastures new. Hope I,m wrong but I wouldn't
bet on it.

If we are going to make playoffs, we need to go on a 10+ unbeaten run of which we would need around 8 wins. Not going to happen. We concede too much, However this seasons aim is staying up. Mid table is a massive achievement.
