Bournemouth looked a class above us and Norwich are currently taking Bournemouth apart (at least until
the sending off)
We’ve got a long way to go in this league to compete at that level consistently, considering they both will most likey be struggling at the bottom of the Prem next season.

Thought this was going to be a middle east related thread that needs taking to the off topic

Norwich are one of the best championship teams of the last 20 years if we stay up 3/4 astute signings can make us a top half side

Long way to go to match a couple of sides that have spent recent years in the Prem. Not that long a way to match a mid table side. At which point you’re just a good season off the playoffs.

I see this league as three divisions of 8 teams, finish 17th and you’re top of Championship Division 3, finish 9-16 and youre D2, and 1-8 and you’re D1.

A decent finish and we can be top 2 D3, next season push for D2, then see where we are.

We obviously have our deficiencies but apart from our cutting edge up front we havent been absolutely blown away in this league just constant missed chances have cost us a lot of points, address this and a few more decent players for us to begin to mount a challenge. Next season we should aim for mid table at the very minimum as the next step of our progression because if by massive luck we got promoted we would get slaughtered in the prem

I think 15th to 18th and clear of a relegation battle would be excellent year on year progress. Far too much work to do on our squad to be expecting much more than that.

I'd be content to stay up and finish lower mid table next season..

Can't see us challenging top half for a couple more seasons

The difference is we are in a financial oasis, but that might change given the sands of time.

See what I did there?

There isn’t a lot of difference from mid-table to challenging for the play offs look at Barnsley or slipping near to the relegation spots as Blackburn for example have done. By my reckoning we have dropped at least a dozen crazy points that would have us easily mid-table. Improve the team in two or three areas with quality signings or loans could make us a pretty good team.

Tell that to king Biamou Looking back, we were very lucky with the injuries they had at that time - that point could prove crucial
