If Portsmouth go into Admin they may have 15 points deducted.
Bristol City and Notts Forest on the brink and could have 10 point deductions.

The table could read as follows:-

20 - Doncaster 24pts
21 - Coventry 22pts
-------------------------
22 - Portsmouth 20pts
23 - Bristol City 20pts
24 - Notts Forest 15pts

Am I clutching at straws here?
Only problem is we do not know our situation as Sisu dont talk to us mere fans!!

We would still manage to get ourselves relegated. And I can't see Forest & Bristol City going into admin.

if we stay up by default can we try and dedicate the survival to all Sunderland fans?

We could all post on the Sunderland board, but do so in turn, and at 15 minute intervals!

Forest are deep in the shite so yes we'll know Wedsnesday their situation, but the money that Bristol received for Maynard will surely keep them afloat during the remainder of the season. Forest owe £75mill to their deceased chairmans estate.

Been on Bristol City's forum to have a read. No mention of potential admin on there. In fact, quite the opposite. Sounds like they have a wealthy benefactor. Any basis for the Bristol City admin rumours?

Agree with this article. Why would the guy who has pumped money into a club have it called in on his death. The only potential reason this would happen is that he hasn't made provision in his will for this money and his family ask for the money back immediately.

Meant if Bristol was in any potential admin threat (which I don't know), our only positive hopes are Pompey and Forest (maybe).

Agree, Mark. He clearly loved the club. Wouldn't surprise me if is will protected Forest from suffering, by deferring the debts. That should piss his family off!

The good news is Pompey will suffer the deduction, so now we have 5 teams in the mix. All down to us to turn things around and start winning. Not too long ago we looked half decent, we need that again. Nothing tonight, but why not saturday and then Barnsley at home (4-0 again?) make all the difference that would.

I genuinely think every home game in this league is winnable. Even for us!
