Guardian are doing a poll..

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/poll/2011/dec/15/greatest-premier-league-goal-ever-poll

I think there's only one goal to vote for.

So 19 years of the Premier League and Elmanders goal of a couple of weeks ago is currently leading the poll.
Who is voting.
just about any of LeTissier's goals should win it.

Maybe 1 or 2 of Bergkamps, but never Elmanders

Some simply wonderful goals there. For me there should be various categories. Team goal, individual goal etc...

Looks like a Bolton fansite thing has got involved and got everyone voting.

I voted Bergkamp v Newcastle. Sheer class.

Bergkamps goal was a great piece of individual skill but for me I always like it when someone crashes home a volley like Rooney VS Newcastle, RVP VS Charlton, Bale VS Stoke etc.

Gavin Peacock, there's a name to conjure with...he had one particularly prolific season if I remember correctly. Hey-day was probably pre-Prem, maybe?

Yeah he bagged a few in one season not too sure of the year though, possibly before the prem or in its early years.

Gotta be Hadji versus Arsenal...made up for all the lack of tracking back that did. Magical strike.

Chippo scored a blinder in the cup..was it Burnley?

I seem to remember he generally scored for QPR against us (as did Wayne Feraday), but wasn't as good at Chelsea. Although he had one mega-prolific year there I think. What happened to him? I'm sure he was forging a career as an eloquent and cerebral pundit (like the anti-Kamara), but he seems to have vanished :thinking about:

What about Trevor sinclair's overhead kick from just outside the box from a cross for QPR? Further away and better than Rooney's

One of the best ever.

The way I try and judge a goal is to ask whether I could possibly have scored it. And of all the great goals out there, Sinclair's is the one that is the most difficult to envisage scoring. He was around the edge of the box, the ball was coming in at pace, the timing, the technique and finish were just perfect, and as you have already stated, further out and better than Fatboys.

Bergkamp's goal against Argentina in the '98 quarter is my favourite ever so his goal against Leicester would get my vote as it's almost a duplicate (assuming it's that one, the Guardian video is blocked by the Premier League) followed by the one against Newcastle, the kind of goal where if it was almost anyone else you'd think they got lucky but Bergkamp had it all worked out in his head already. What a player.

Actually voted Huckerby though. Not technically the best goal but probably my favourite moment.

I remember that game vividly, I much preferred that Barcelona side to the one now, the likes of Hagi, Koeman, Romario and Stoichkov. Romario's still the best pure finisher I've ever seen.
