The good news - We have made 2 signings which are supposedly equally or as good as Westwood. A new number one. A decent back up - Defence sorted.

The bad news.

It shows that SISU obviously have no intention of selling up? Otherwise they wouldn't of paid the signing on fees for the two players which we have signed? They wouldn't of paid the "un-disclosed fee" for Dunn. If they wanted to sell, they would of left the payments to be completed by the Hoffman and co. packed up and gone without investing any more.

Take this as you will - it's just an opinion I have.

Makes no real difference as the players contracts are viewed as assets on the balance sheet - one of the few assets we have left

Regardless to contracts, you have to pay a fee - The signing on fee, agent fees etc.

The contract of a player is an asset, but you have to pay for it. I don't see why they would pay out if they are going to sell the club? 2 goalkeepers wont up the price of the club?

Its a business. You wouldn't look to sell a going concern with no stock or order book, football is no different. Without that stock of players we couldn't compete and woudl be less attractive to a prospective bidder. Even if a bid is finalised and accepted it could take months of negotiations to complete

Even if the Hoff deal is regarded by SISU as a genuine offer, there will still be weeks (or even months) for due diligence. OK the Hoff knows City, but his backers will want full disclosure. So, nothing will happen for quite some time.....

It doesn't tell us anything really. As mentioned, the club would continue to run as normal whether SISU were here forever or about to sell up.

I think it at least shows that sisu aren't about to pull the plug if they're paying fees.

But if they are paying those fees they will count them as part of any deal to sell... Those fee's will simply be added to the bill new owners would pay.

Doesnt give an indication one way or the other to be honest.

Look at it this way ..... if you are selling your business you dont stop selling or buying anything whilst waiting for the sale ...... you sell it as a going concern. Part of the normal trading of a football club is the buying or selling of players, the making of player contracts or breaking. If they stopped doing that then we wouldnt have a squad or a team and the club would be sold for its break up value - £0. They have to continue the normal course of business at the club otherwise they have nothing to sell or even keep.

What they will do however if the intention is to sell will be to limit the payouts they make, ie contracts will be modest in value, players on free transfers wherever possible, purchases within the budget set already. They wont stretch that extra to get a player in no matter how much AT might want to make that signing. However with the tight fiscal control that the club is under anyway it is going to be pretty much like that if they are staying too.

So like I said you cant read anything into what is going on based on who we do or do not sign

If you're buying a house you get a survey. It is the least you should do.
However, if you're desperate to move you may not question a few eyesores, cracks and damp patches.
Additionally the vendor may have painted the front room a pleasing "apricot rouge".
It is only down the road you realise he did so to cover up even more "eyesores, cracks and damp".
Selling a club is no different.imp:

CGCGBE doesn't quite have the same ring to it, and DADGAD has a certain ring to it, like a cross between a happy father and a gadfly!

A good new tuning is like a foreign girlfriend, dark, mysterious and full of eastern promise.
Of course if exotic is too risque EADGBE is like the missus that most of us end up going home to.
