As someone who has never heard of this, christ what a story. To catch this guy alive is incredible. After reading up on this quite a bit, why did he stop in 1986? Reminds me of Dexter

A new book by Michelle McNamara apparently helped drive the conclusion of the case. She died before she finished it but had investigated the case on her own accord for years - Michelle McNamara vowed to find the Golden State Killer. Two years after her death, fans believe she did - CNN
