Possibly.
He's definitely improving all the time.
Though O'Hare also improved in his time here despite what his detractors say.
I don't believe his time in Sheffield is going great but I don't pay a lot of attention to be honest.

I do think O’Hare is the sort of player who would have progressed with Lampard et al. In a way he hasn’t done at Sheff Utd.

O Hare was a good player for us and played his part in our rise to where we are, let’s not kid ourselves or be bitter.

Whether Rudoni was his replacement or not, he’s proving to be a good signing and for COH, it looks like he’ll get his shot in the prem.

O’Hare was the gift that just kept giving …..
Thanks to the ludicrous Villa heirachy , we got a gem for free , that helped us to another level , but that gift has now gone .
His replacement, is certainly looking the part . Rudoni of course, is a different player , but he is growing with us & long may it continue , in this soon to be top 6 team .

Ran all day, and a brilliant player in tight spaces, but no ability to really strike a ball. Hence the feeble shooting and lack of crossing.

Rudoni delivers more.

Exactly. Let’s be honest, that Dec-Feb run last season was a flash in the pan. He’d never had a similar run of goal scoring form before and since then.

Defensively, Rudoni’s numbers are better than COH’s and perhaps it was his extended recovery, but felt that edge he had in pressing was lost when he returned.

Mainly because Sheaf couldn't find him with a pass.

He has the ability to create something from nothing, his crossing has been bang on the money. He will go on to better than COH

Yeah that's a big plus for me, Rudoni and Grimes can actually take corners and cross a ball.

As much as O'Hare was brilliant, I don't think he's on par with Rudoni. O'Hare is a brilliant winger etc, but an appaling final 3rd player.

What Rudoni has returned is much better than O'Hare, the main difference is O'Hare seemed better on the ball until you're near the penalty area.

Loved Callum here.

I think Rudoni is great, but O'Hare really did love his time at the club and showed it frequently.

In 3 years time, I hope to be looking back at a Rudoni photo that matches the sunglasses moment at Brum.

O’Hare was class. Has more “X factor” that 95% of this division. As an adult male, I’ve not been so endeared to a player for 20 years.
Rudoni is a different player. Gets more involved across the whole pitch, finishes better….
There’s no doubt to me though that we’d be a noticeably better team with O’Hare in. Brilliant ball control, excellent on the press, almost unlimited energy….
For two months last season he was arguably the best player in the division (from Birmingham to Leicester games) and proved for the first time that he knew how to score.
Shame it came as his contract was expiring….

Absolutely no reason to compare two very different types of player in O'Hare and Rudi.
As effective as O'Hare was last season, thought he was better before his injury (apart from goals).
I can never understand why people denigrate players who were brilliant for us on the pitch. I understand giving them grief if they force an exit or slag us off. Bellamy, wanker arguably the best example.

O’Hare a good player but he wasn’t special - Not even in the same league as Vik or Hamer

It’s no surprise that now Rudi has stepped it up no one is clamouring for him, he was easily replaceable

2 different players and positions.

no need for the constant left or right, like frank or mark.

the booing of COH was poor taste for me. Played big part for us.

The main problem with O'Hare was fans fell in love with him and got all pissey when the love wasn't given back and he left.

Really liked COH and rate him as a player, thought he was brilliant or us. But if you are looking to compare i don't think its Rudoni you compare him with. I truly believe Rudoni is a better all-round athlete and player with better attributes than COH.
The stats sort of prove this in goals, assists and player ratings for the season.

To compare id say Tatsu and COH are similar sort of players.
Tatsu- 3 goals 3 assists 1600 mins
COH- 2 goals 6 assists 2450 mins
With both very similar player ratings, id be interested in seeing what the stat is at the end of the season for these two. Tatsu is slowly getting back to his best form and im sure goals and assists will come very soon.

Will he play for them next season?

They’ve new owners who will make a much better fist of trying to stay up, and if you ask their fans he’s not being pulling up trees and they need a replacement whether they’re promoted or not.

Smacks of little to no minutes first half of the season followed by championship loan in January

O'Hare frequently went missing in games. Sometimes you even forgot he was on the pitch.

Rudoni culpable at the start of the season? New club. Didn't know his role. Young inexperienced player. Several of our players were poor. It doesn't mean you can use the start of the season for point scoring on one of our best players.

He does for them now what he did for us. Runs around trying to get the ball and tries to get forward when he gets it. But as for most of his career not much of an end product.

If they don't go up he would play a big part in their side. If they get promoted he would be out of his depth.

Then consider they're looking good for a top 2 finish and we're just catching up to the top 6.

But some will still try and make out O'Hare is better. The best thing is Rudoni is still young and has Lampard to learn from. He is only going to get better.

Nice stats @PVA, unfortunately both Hamer and O’hare play for a team with 20 more points than us. If not for a points deduction, they’d be able to seal promotion with a win tonight.

I’d say that fact they’re looking good for a top 2 finish isn’t the plus for Rudoni that you’re making out. O’hare is the superior player but Rudoni is great. No need to even compare the 2. They’re nothing alike.

If he could add Lampard/Hamer style shooting from distance he’d be a hell of a player. 3/4 of his goals have been headers I think I think there’s scope for him to be hitting double figures if he can improve his shooting.

O’Hare seemed to develop that over the time he was here.
I’m sure when he first signed he had a proper Solihull accent.
By the time he left Victor Torp had more of a Midlands accent than O’Hare

I fully thought Huddersfield had pulled our pants down with the £4m fee.

But if this season isn't a flash in the pan and he can carry on this output for the next few years then he'll prove to be a bargain.

4m was never too expensive for Rudi, he’s shown this ability at Huddersfield in this league if he was on a team where they had forwards that could score he wouldnt be with us, their top scorer last season was their CB (Helik), and they were an awful team but he always looked a bright spark in their side

You're right. They're not alike. Rudoni is a lot bigger and stronger. How often did O'Hare score with his head?

So Sheffield United winning more games and scoring more goals doesn't make it easier for their players?

I’ve done a whole thread touching on Rudoni’s aerial threat at Wimbledon. It’s a nice asset to have.

Sheffield United winning more games and scoring more goals suggests they have better players yes. Particularly the one who plays every game as a 10 for them.
