Was always going to be a massive miss for us when he left. Although they are obviously different types of players, has Rudoni put it all to bed?

Different players with different strengths. O'Hare was brilliant for us. Rudoni looks like he will be as well.

Hasn't Rudoni already matched O'Hares best seasons goals and assists with 14? Pretty good going.

I'd say he could be on for the 20 Hamer achieved. Great buy.

I think both O'Hare and Hamer are more dynamic 'moment' players so will catch the eye maybe a bit more but Jack is class in all he does, crazy to think how good he could get once fully settled

Agree with that. Rudoni stays in the game more than O'Hare did/does .
If we don't go up we will be fighting off offers for him come the summer

O’Hare was class. Has more “X factor” that 95% of this division. As an adult male, I’ve not been so endeared to a player for 20 years.
Rudoni is a different player. Gets more involved across the whole pitch, finishes better….
There’s no doubt to me though that we’d be a noticeably better team with O’Hare in. Brilliant ball control, excellent on the press, almost unlimited energy….
For two months last season he was arguably the best player in the division (from Birmingham to Leicester games) and proved for the first time that he knew how to score.
Shame it came as his contract was expiring….

His best two months by far with us.

Who would you drop for him? Rudoni?

Yes O'Hare and Rudoni are totally different players. Rudoni doesn't constantly go missing in games. Bigger, stronger and scores goals as well as making plenty of assists. This is his first season with us. He is still young and will continue to improve.

Agree - completely different players but for me i’d much prefer Rudoni. I think he’s the real deal and still so young

I would have OHare back at a shot but I would use him as a substitute all the time, after 70 mins would take off Rudoni and put on OHare to run at tired players.

Trying not to be too revisionist. O’Hare was unbelievable for us.

They are very different. Cal had an intensity and that ability to create something out of nothing. Rudoni is more consistent, and he’s technically far better.

Rudoni has the ingredients for top level football, he’s 6’1”, technically excellent and full of energy. Unfortunately for O’Hare I think it’s physicality that would ultimately be the blocker for him.

In 2-3 years Rudoni is going to be a hell of a player. I think he’ll make the step up and play PL for a few seasons.

It was apparent early on in the season that we’d got a better player than COH on our books. Statistically, Rudoni has been the better player all year round and it’s not particularly close.

COH was a good player for us, but he did struggle to get goal contributions for us.

Rudoni is a weird one for me. On the ball I always feel like he’s dribbling into a corner / closes off the pitch and options but you can’t argue with his stats. He’s been a huge reason why we’ve been on this climb yesterdays header was superb

They're different players but Rudoni is better than O'Hare and offers more to the team around him, I thought we had got to the point where we were beyond O'Hares level and I was quite surprised he got the move he did and on that sort of money too. Fair play to him for getting it.

Apart from that 2 months where he came back from injury, he was never a stand out player for us and was always over shadowed by the likes of Walsh, Hamer, Wright etc.

We haven't missed him apart from the first couple of months and those teething problems, but that's a transitional period anyway and I can't see how he would get in this team.

Correct. But since Lampard has turned up we have added the experience we needed which was a policy change. 3.5m to 4m for a player nearly 30? Now we have added Paterson who is 33. Neither will have a resale value when they leave. 2 players with a combined age of 62. Before we would have wanted 3 players with this combined age.

Since we signed Grimes the confidence of us reaching the playoffs has gone from zero to expected.

I like the the way our pass and move actually looks like it’s gonna work into something! Grimes loves his little give n goes! Compared to a few months ago we were passing it around with no actual
Intention of getting an attack going!

Pass and move is how the game is meant to be played and yesterday’s performance was a great demonstration in why.

Rudoni has been a fantastic signing.

He has the ability to create something from nothing, his crossing has been bang on the money. He will go on to better than COH

And probably deliberately.

The one thing o hare never did was go missing in games.

Rudoni was very culpable of that early season when we were losing games

O'Hare better at pressing the opposition but other than that I prefer Rudoni, and I was/am a huge fan of O'Hare.
