No one will ever ask any of these questions, as for the trust should be asking these questions, as fucking if they would.

Didn't asking questions such as these lead to the Trust being Ostracised on the SCG by the two blokes attending tomorrows board meeting .

That SCG which has expanded two-three fold and turned into a sycophantic back slappers Club.

Jon did say there was something Strange about it.

It's pointless going on about the wasps deal.
It's happened nothing can change it now.

Some feel the owners had numerous opportunities to step up to the plate and failed to do so.
Some feel that no matter what the owners did the council should not have sold out to a different club, encouraging franchising.

Whatever your view it won't change things.

Now is the time to find out what our club is going to do in the future.

Questions need to be asked.

We are 18 months into a new stadium project. We have seen some computer generated photos of what a generic stadium looks like. That's it!!

Questions need answering

Simon Gilbert
CWR
The trust need to be asking the questions of the club?

We have been on so many occasions weeks away from signing a new land deal yet it hasn't happened. What us the current specific hold up?

What is the actual concern about saying where we are trying to buy?
It is not within CCC boundaries so why are they a concern?

If land is for sale and we are bidding for it, anyone who is also in the market for that size of land will already know about it?

How exactly will it be funded?

How long will it take considering I can't imagine we thought it would be 18 months before we had a land deal?

If it is going to be 5-6 years or more what are we going to do to make the Ricoh more homely and profitable.

Are we going to share costs with wasps on a shop at the Ricoh. Physios, marketing, ticketing. We could make some real savings to invest on the pitch instead.

Are we going to speak to wasps about trying to get even more access to revenues within our rental deal.

How would agreeing a much longer term rental deal with greater access to revenues compare to the costs of building a new stadium and the revenues that would give us.

I should have just gone for, 'The Future, it's pointless ' and then just discarded the rest of the post if I was you, Don.

We all want the same thing: a clear plan for the future with details of its impact on us as fans.

We won't get it though. Too busy playing super fans to ever coordinate into a cohesive voice. Ironically the likes of Torch have been championing the destruction of the Trust as a voice yet now wonder why they won't ask these questions. Hilarious.

Too busy sniping at each other or trying to make political points to ever take aim at the owners (ironic post alert) so why on earth would they bother giving us any answers they don't want to? There's zero pressure on them.

Maybe we should organise a protest outside the council house demanding to know the plans for a new stadium. Apparently they're just as culpable as the people who actually run the club.

Just sit back and enjoy the slide into non-league.

Can't see why everyone's so worried - Fisher said the land purchase for the new stadium would go through 'in the near future' - so happy days

We all believe him, don't we?

By the way, can anybody explain to me exactly what 'in the near future' means - a few days? A few weeks? A few months? A few years?

"In the near future" in geologic terms could mean any time in the next 100 million years. Which is about when a new stadium will be built.

There are 350,000 people living in Coventry and only 8,000 go to games (25,000 on very special occasions). How much emphasis should the council place on CCFC given all their myriad other serious problems and the fact that CCFC's owners are not even based in the UK?

Apart from ST holders they aren't necessarily the same 8k every week. Some people only go to 1-2 games a season because that's all they can afford. I'm sure Ashdown said on here that the club had over 150k supporters/customers registered on their database.

As well as the cost there are lots of people who play themselves on a Saturday who would love to go, I still think Friday night football might work better for us. Regarding the price we will see against Fleetwood but I would expect a decent crowd as I know people who are being attracted by the cheaper tickets.

Haven't had an email back from Mr strange yet.
I hope he does, otherwise I am beginning to wonder how he will represent us fans in the board if he does not seek out our views?

Had a reply mr Strange is going to discuss with the group about putting a thread on here. Allowing people to suggests matters the fans would like bringing up at the board meetings. Fingers crossed.

Mr Strange is a SISU nominated fans representative - hardly going to rock the boat, all we need now is Sandra Garlic, Ken Diddlydoo & Brodie to resurface as part of the communications and marketing of the club.

Does Strange really understand how desperately depressed about the club now and going forward, the lack of hope, the matchday experience, how any fan can liaise with SISU and be constructive is beyond me as they make me so angry.

So he will E-mail people? How many City fans E-mails does he have?
Or are Sisu going to give him their data base to work from?

oh good the fan liaison group are going to discuss having a discussion with the fans, if they actually cared you wouldn't have had to request this and they certainly shouldn't have needed to discuss granting your request. What we need is a SCGSCG in order to liaise with the SCG about liaising with CCFC.

Hopefully he does start a thread here and people can express their views. Including the match day experience. It would IMO be bizarre if he attends the boardroom as a fans representative without consulting the fans.

The only hope is when he does that people use it constructively

I am Baffled that Mr Strange has to seek approval to open a thread on a public domain chat site especially as it is related to his position. He does not even have to respond to anything so as to ensure the it is simply seeking input.

So I would suggest that the Board moderators open one for him so that he and the rest of the world can see the questions that are being asked.

For once a level of seriousness and gravity would have to be up held to stop it descending into farce and insults, but , as long as any policing is proportionate it should be fit for purpose

Might be worth such a thread requiring all posts to be approved by a mod to keep it to just questions and stop it descending into the usual slanging match.

While imo the guy would deserve the grief he would get you are completely right. while it might be cathartic it would be completely unhelpful and counter productive, honestly it needs to be a heavily moderated thread, if people insist on criticizing his actions up to this point they need to do it in a different thread.

All questions need to be objective really so that any opinion and emotion is left else where.

Instead of I think the club should .... simply say have the management of CCFC considered.....

If he does not canvass anyone then he represents no one.

I don't know the guy but.. he's in the seat and its down to him to prove that he is is own man rather than SISU's or any supporters clique

At this point I think he should start with a clean slate. It's what happens going forward that matters.

He has access to board meetings, whether people like it or not. All I am trying to do is get him to read a thread on here so he can see what issues, questions and concerns the fans currently have. Hopefully then he can raise them and use this thread to give us some answers.

Probably the same as you making things up

To be fair, our reps are the trust aren't they and they don't listen to people on here so if he did that it would be a good start! Not that he would anyway

Only if you are a member but fair play to hem they do put other points from here across even if they do get grief.

Good job I'm not on the board I would tell them to stuff um.

Shame you actually believe that they don't listen to anyone.

Not hard this, just get him to ask a 'difficult' or inconvenient question for the owners and see if he does it.
