Yer, i know, wages wages wages.

But just a bit of fun, and it has to beat talking about embargos.

Heres my pick of the team we could have for nowt. Trying to be realistic about who might considering coming, but might be off the mark with one or two.

Drogba might consider us for a couple of seconds. Would that count?

If they are all out there on freebies

We lose the wages of McPake, Clingan, Platt, Keogh, Bigi. Cranie, ROD, Eastwood

Plus possibly 2 million coming in in transfer fees. If we cant get the rent lowered that leaves us with 800k.

If were were to be given a budget anyway however small it maybe.

Do you think all of the above freed up wages and 800k on top could offer 7-8 of the above lot a decent league one wage contract for a year, and still save money.

I maybe living in cuckoo land but I think it could

Come on SISU get the embargo lifted, stop trying to blackmail a charity they wont have it.

I think 7-8 of that lot mixed with whats left in our squad and the back of season long loans could compete.

Leeds released half a team of players, any of whom would be good for us

I like the sound of David Connelly: exactly the sort of wily old fox in the box we need.

I'd take Billy Connelly over Sean Jeffers

Dont mean to pick on the kid and iam really sorry if he reads this, its nothing personal at all, and i wish him well, i just dont think he is good enough to be in our squad, let alone be in our current line up, as our number 2 striker

I love how we have to apologise to crap players now when we make fun as actually, we'd be worse off if they go as nobody would come in! It was the same as my Bell Abuse yesterday: he's probably better than watching yet another teenager have their confidence shattered because they aren't ready for men's football.

Jeffers doenst deserve any flak, he shouldnt be anywhere near our 1st team squad..

I just hope he doesnt get boo'ed after a couple of games.

Afraid I have to agree. No offence to te lad but it shows how desperate we've been year after year when he's been given contract after contract.

Hope he can prove me wrong though.....

I certainly won't boo him for being poor as its not really his fault he's having to be thrown on as our only option

ha ha

maybe with Tom soares

Could Beattie have been getting that much at Sheff UTD?

The Rest with Keogh, Cranie, Fatswood, McPake, Bigi, ROD, Clingan

That 7 players wages freed up. If these boys will sign up for league one their wages will be less than the above so we will be saving money.

Hopefully the 2 million received for Bigi, Keogh, McPake and ROD. Minus the rent so 800k should more than cover the wages for the extra 2 lads. We still come out in profit in my perfect world.

That squad should be in the top six which will mean 20k plus at the ricoh as well.

Also with that squad we will know once and for all the capabilities of Mr AT

Think we are forgetting a vital man in ROD, his 2 goals that he could possibly score if he plays really well could be vital for us.
