If it were up to SBT we’d be chugging along in league 1 right now with Robins in the dugout and Fadz, Matty James and Godden making up the spine of the team.

I was very sceptical at first, probably in light of his tenure at Everton and his second spell at Chelsea, and the loss of Robins.

I hold my hands up at how wrong I was, and at how quickly I realised my apprehension was misplaced.

How he got us from the lower levels of the league to the Playoffs last season was outstanding, but nothing to what he has created and to what we have witnessed so far this season.
What he has done with the players with a pre season under his belt has been nothing short of magnificent, and the attacking play we have seen, in addition to the tightening of the defence has been incredible.

I didn't know who I wanted, I didn't want Lampard though.
Though once he was in I was prepared to give him time. Going back to burning through managers was/is my worse nightmare

I wanted Eirik Horneland. Now gone to St Etienne so maybe Doug was right to not be horny for Horneland.

Most people agreed it was time for Fadz and Godden to move on.
People, including myself, were up in arms about Robins sacking but I'm quite happy that I felt that anger on behalf of a man who saved the club and without whose work there'd be no King and no Lampard.

I'm also happy to admit I was wrong about the decision and King called it right, (as I acknowledged fairly soon after it had happened).

Those that still constantly snipe about Robins are absolute wrong uns in my book and always will be

And to think some of those draws should have been wins based on run of play

Dr Claire and Aled Williams deserve to each have a stand named after them. Time to put some respect on the name etc

a friend of mine who is a chelsea supporter watched our game last night, more as he wants Frank to do well

He did comment that Simms was a bit clumsy (which doesnt really give him credit for what he did, but yes he should have had 2 yesterday ), but picked out BTA and Dasilva as our stars
2 players who we would have happily offloaded for small fees last season

When we got battered by Leeds last season it felt we were a million miles away from their intensity and quality. Opposition fans are now saying that about themselves compared to us. It is remarkable.

I would say she's milfy but then i remember my own age. So really she is just an attractive woman of an appropriate age, a genius and a Queen.

If Frank was to get us up and solidify us in the Prem, stranger things have happened than him getting a tilt at the England job

RVN was v much in fashion because he had a good spell at Man U who have since performed poorly. Zooming out, it was a v short term and comparing to Lampard, FL did actually finish in the Top 4 with Chelsea over a full season in difficult circumstances.

Full disclosure: Lampard was a ‘meh’ appointment for me because I was so despondent with sacking Robins and only wanted an unrealistic name (Moyes/Potter/Cooper).

People viewed Lampard’s CV unfairly imo. He did well at Derby and Chelsea in his first spell and did alright at Everton. The latter have only turned a corner since bringing in Moyes who is a top Prem manager. The major blot was his second spell at Chelsea where he walked into a bad situation and Lampard has reflected on that in interviews. He probably was parachuted into the Prem too soon and probably was a little bit out of his depth but he’s probably learned a lot from those experiences. Which is great for us.

His spell with us will completely reshape the harsh narrative about his career and my gut feeling is that Lampard is fully invested into the project here. At some point, he’ll leave if the right opportunity comes about but can’t see him running back to Chelsea at their beck and call.

Everton was just a totally bad fit, where he had to play dire defensive football which doesn't suit his philopsophy.
