Wilson a harsh yellow. They should have had 1 maybe 2 red cards.
Hamer has been sent off for far less

Poor refereeing

Red cards for what exactly? A yellow each is about right.

Robins said it was deliberate. Not sure about that as it seemed a natural coming together which is what sparked it. No excuse for the concentration for their goal. We fought heroically and it’s a lot to ask away against the league leaders to keep it up for 90 minutes.

Don't see what Wilson did wrong really, he didn't retaliate and it all seemed started by the other player. We've had straight reds for similar

Anyone got a link? Was at the opposite end to us and have no idea what happened.

Pure coincidence that they scored after imo. Don’t think it was a deliberate set up at all.

Should have been a red for Barnes having his hand all over Wilson's face. Of course, we'd never get that given.

Burnley were v canny. We’re fastidious in not crowding Wilson for the resulting corner in case the ref was inclined to give a soft free kick for a foul on the keeper.

He's holding onto the net, and bodyweight against him whilst creating a barrier. People are making out he's twatted him.

Yep ref can’t see. Bidwell is the man marking that space and is just wrestled out the way crazy

Would expect Barnes to get a retrospective ban for that. Tella/Wilson yellow each is probably about right.

As we saw with Hamer against Bournemouth, even touching a face is a red card.

What happened with Barnes and his leg over Wilson's shoulder?

Read this from a Burnley fan yestersday

'Wilson should have been sent off today. Time wasting from the 1st minute (should of had a yellow for that), then should of seen yellow again for pinning Tella to the ground and punching him. Coventry dirtiest team. The fans are horrible not respecting our minutes silence for our annual In memorial before kick off. Got what they deserved!, 0 points!'

It’s ridiculous we are the softest team, Wilson is thick as soon as Tella touched him he should have hit the ground as soon as Barnes was in the goal waving his fists around that is a free for all for the rest would Fadz have let that shit go on. We have got to toughen up. If Wilson did anything he smacked him on the bum, Tella has problems he has little man syndrome.

Time wasting?

The only team time wasting were Burnley after their goal.

It looked to me like the Burnley player inadvertently crashed into Wilson, who reacted slightly by pushing him downwards. Everything that followed was just handbags.

Think you need to take your sky blue glasses off. We was time waisting from the very first minute. Dabo literally got booked for time waisting. Every away team has done it to us at the CBS this season and we’ve also done it every away game this season

What Wilson did wasn't even close to what others do at the CBS.

I really didn't think we did much time wasting at all. Slowed the play down at most. Real time wasting is what Burnley did for the final 15 minutes.

We really did. Wilson was taking the piss with goal kicks from very early on.

From those clips, in other games the Burnley player would’ve been sent off for that, especially against a goalkeeper they generally seem to be protected by refs.

then the corner, with the wrestling of Bidwell should’ve ended in a free kick to us. I think we’ve had some bad decisions go against us this season, with the amount of money in football, especially the teams going up to the prem, poor decisions by the officials need to be cut out. There’s needs to be more consistency from the refs

they can't get it right in the Prem with the help of VAR, we've got no chance in the Championship. The standard of officiating has been appalling for a long time now and little has been done to improve it

Thought the ref had a good game personally. He potentially could have seen that incident differently but to my eyes Wilson wasn't completely innocent & a yellow each seemed fair enough.

The foul on Bidwell from the resulting corner, yes possibly but didn't effect the goal in any way.

May as well just let them fuck up week in, week out with no consequences then.

Ref who had been found guilty of match-fixing was in the World Cup FFS.

Match fixing is obviously different to general competence. The only ‘consequence’ would be demotion to a lower league or being sacked.

We don’t have enough as it is-how is removing even more going to raise standards?

Could just be that referees have an incredibly difficult job, simply call what they see & are human meaning they sometimes make mistakes (probably less than the average player in any given game).

Yeah, even though Robins mentioned the incident he apportioned no blame to the referee and said that we needed to make sure we switched on which we didn't.
