Certainly a speech that will appeal to many Brexiteers but the party she represents has some very unsavoury elements.

Arguments only work if the aim is to raise standards overall rather than concentrating on reducing gaps.
Something wrong when averageness is encouraged. Life's competitive and letting kids think it's not is doing them a disservice.
Common issue for employers is how underprepared graduates in particular are for the job market. The so-called soft skills.

Issue is being called a right winger isn't seen as a bad thing in many EU countries at this moment in time
Another party that is Eurosceptic and likely to send a much increased bloc to next EU Parliament.

You've gone and said 'so you'd want 3 options in the referendum, that'd split the Leave vote', or words to that effect. Though we could also look through the sustained attack you kept up on another poster to go after him as a Nazi sympathiser and find many more unfortunate quotes. Where someone says the Nazis would have tried Churchill and you take that to mean he accuses Churchill of war crimes and wants to exonerate Nazi ones.

That's why I say your comprehension is bullshit and you come up with ridiculous straw men arguments. When one gets refuted you move the goalposts. It's happened all throughout the thread and I don't remember once you saying 'fair enough, I got the wrong end of the stick'.

Was that during this rant of yours or from a previous rant where you said Something different?

How about showing what I said and what I replied to? Otherwise everyone can take it as you trying to twist the truth as usual.

I admit when I am wrong. I don't have an agenda like you do. I don't try to defend anyone or anything like you do. I don't constantly insult people like you do. I don't act like spoilt children like you do.

Go take your ball home. Have had enough of your childish outbursts. You do make some decent posts. But then you ruin them with the diatribe you come out with. I have had enough of you ruining the debate. Show some evidence of your accusations or I am just going to totally ignore you from now.

Appropriate funding should be provided so that those that excel in academia should be given a clear path, and those that may excel in a trade or via a vocational route should be given the same high quality experience.

So those who want out of the EU are idiots?

Here we go again. So those who want out but want trade agreements and the rest would have to vote for what they don't want and would be an idiot if they disagreed with you.

Case in point, conflating 'no deal' in the original quote with Leave overall. Yes wanting the worst option just for the sake of leaving would make you an idiot. Throughout the thread I've said I'd want Leave to have its best option on the ballot without the risk of splitting its support. Maybe no deal, maybe May deal, maybe just Leave and then a follow up.

Brighton Sky Blue said:
I am trying to propose a vote which doesn’t split the Leave numbers in the interests of as fair a contest as possible. Parliament have proven themselves incapable and it should be the public to break the deadlock with overwhelming volumes of evidence to help the decision.

Starting to get awkward how regularly you cock this stuff up

Here being where you take hypothetical vote proposals as statements of what is going to happen to the whole process.

Brighton Sky Blue said:
Embarrassing comprehension skills again-hard to look at

The EU is not going back to the table. It is May’s deal, no deal, or stay. If you want what is objectively worse because of false beliefs, and cling to those false beliefs even when evidence is hitting you in the face, yeah you’re an idiot.

On Question Time a panel member said to John Barnes ‘you’re not trying to call the general public thick are you?’. Yes I am, the truth hurts

And since you have tried to change what you said by insulting me. Some things never change.

All I did was check what you said. All you have done is insult.

Have it your way. But you will need another idiot to insult as I am not playing your games. You have stated what will happen. I have disagreed with you.

I'm gone.

Now conflating predictions of what could realistically happen with referendum proposals with statements of what will happen.

Astute said:
You said it will either be May's deal, no deal or remain. I asked you to confirm this. Then you started insulting me.

How about showing where I said anything about a referendum on these three subjects? What I said is no deal won't happen, Mays deal is about dead but remaining might happen. Of course not as I didn't. But you make things up as usual. And I suppose Mart will be here to defend you soon.

Nothing made up, just one bloke persistently getting his wires crossed. There's nothing childish here when you consider your track record for getting the wrong end of the stick. There's too many examples of it to count but the Mart Nazi saga showed how wide of the mark you can be. We can either get upset about some people being more blunt than others or we can get down to the substance and save a lot more time.

Because he was paying 150$ a month in 2010. he doesn’t support Brexit. He thinks we are crazy, but there is a silver lining in it for him if he gets staff. He just got back from London and said he hardly saw a Brit in hotels and restaurants. His question was, how would they deal with the tourists if a lot of EU citizens went elsewhere. We have a shortage of skilled workers, especially trades like electricians and plumbers, and care workers. Could actually help our situation. Also in catering and hotels.

So what you're effectively saying is we need people from the EU to do the lower/unskilled jobs. Sounds a bit like modern slavery but the gangmasters are the corporations.

Could you please explain the connection between Brexit and having a poor police/NHS/schools service? Surely these are skilled workers? If we need to get doctors, nurses, teachers etc from outside the EU, what is the problem with this?

Modern slavery? They are not compelled to work here and get paid at least the minimum wage. Thanks to Tony Blair and despite Tory objections. There is no connection between police cuts, underfunded NHS, schools and public services ( and infrastructure) and the EU. Right wing papers, however, direct hate and rage against EU citizens and „scroungers“ on the dole.

There may be a connection with staffing and availability of EU staff because of the employment situation in the UK and people not being prepared to do certain jobs. That is not a result of EU interference though.

It would be great if the EU had have been taught in schools... how it works, why it was founded and what benefits ( and any disadvantages ) we get from it. There are so many people fueled up on pure bs. If they knew what it was and come to a reasoned decision, I could understand their point of view. Imagine if we talked about the evil UK oppressing is and forcing laws upon us. We live in the UK and our country is a member of the voluntary Union.

It is not a foreign state and Merkel does not rule the EU.

How thick do you have to be to make such claims. Awaits EUSSR, fourth Reich claims.

I am not happy with the way the EU is run. They have proven themselves to be a bunch of untrustworthy people. They hold all the power when it should be held by the countries in the EU. But the problem is we are better off in the EU than out of it. It comes with many benefits. The benefits well outweigh any drawbacks.

The EU is a Union of which we are part of. In the negotiations they have been transparent, have decided a strategy and have stuck to it. It was May who wanted the negotiations to be kept secret. The countries in the EU hold most of the power and the EU Parliament the rest. The EU civil service and the EC are responsible for preparing the laws and executing the laws that have been passed.

Which countries do not have any power? All are represented and all share power according to the size of their population.

In which way are EU politicians more untrustworthy than our MPs ( e.g. BoJo and Rees-Mogg )?

The one who is in a dark money scandal? One of the donors is the son of Hitler’s banker. Von Finck. He is I his late 90s. The family made a fortune from buying up Jewish businesses on the cheap. Now his firm has invested in a gold firm. The successor of the one which melted the gold from murdered Jews into gold bars. I am not surprised that you are also a fan of Frau Weidel. I am not surprised at right wing backers investing in gold.

Yes the chairperson is the granddaughters of one of Hitler’s cabinet and they take money from the son of Hitler’s Bankier. Apart from that they play down the Nazi era as a „piece of bird shit“ in comparison to the whole of German history and say that having a memorial to the murdered Jews in Berlin is a disgrace. I can see why they are popular with some leavers. The type that drag effigies of Khan and May with their heads in nooses around Parliament Square, or shout Zionist scum and lying press at journalists in London.

Nothing like that on the people’s Vote march. Poking fun... sure, but no gallows or nooses.

Merkel is ones of the most intelligent politicians around. Second most popular politician in Germany at the moment by a small difference. There is no confusion or panic in Germany about Brexit. Sticking with Western Values until the end of her term.

The AfD still have support in the East, but are losing it in the West. Now around 10% in the polling for the EU elections.

Well, TBF, there are a whole lot of MPs not following contracts because of Brexit. All those who voted for no deal for a start. The Tory manifesto promised a deal and an orderly departure. The ERG are acting in their own interests and not of those of the electorate or the party. The charlatans are at least acting in the interest of the country by asking for the final terms of Brexit to be put to the country.
