Others such as I (very much a floating voter) see it as a sensible move to get those EU residents that wish to stay, to go thrpugh the right channels to ensure they aren't suddenly classed as 'unwelcome'. A bit like Mart has in Germany (although the more they get to know him the more they will regret it I am sure! Lol)

If I'm honest, I think it's all a little too late. I reckon we'll be out with no deal. I was asked before the referendum if the UK would vote leave. I said they wouldn’t be that stupid. The voters proved me wrong. The manipulation of the population by demagogues is coming out now. A long way to go, but the Banks Files are an example. Brexit is basically a right wing power grab. A large part of the population was duped. The EU is sticking to it’s principles, which is admirable. I hope we get a second referendum. The result is not the main thing. It would be a test to see how things work nowadays.
