No. You keep on going on about everyone who has bombed civilians. Yet your get out clause on Germany is that if they had won the war they wouldn't have found themselves guilty.

Why don't you list the atrocities Germany did?

Get out clause? What on earth are you on about? Get out of what?

I did mention German bombing and German war crimes, but that has nothing whatsoever to do with the question that I answered.

If they had won the war, I doubt whether the Nazis would have charged themselves with anything.

Are you so crazy that you think they would have won the war and then sentenced themselves to death for war crimes?

This is by far the craziest conversation that you’ve ever started on here, and there have been some weird ones.

Go on. For once show where someone has said what you have said they have. Where have I called him a Nazi sympathiser. He has to be careful what he says as much is illegal especially in Germany.

But as I keep saying I want to k ow why he is labelling Churchill as a war criminal especially as he has lived in Germany most of his life.

Where I live has nothing to do with the original question and answer.

Would the Nazis have tried Churchill. Yes they said they would.

You twist that into I am labeling Churchill a war criminal because I live in Germany.

As I said, Churchill was a war criminal- according to the Nazis.

Ffs people! What has this thread (about the future of the UK...& EU) descending into?

Those said futures & the current line of debate have fairly little in common...& I'm sure the negotiating teams are NOT talking about Nazi's & war criminals or heroes & the like...all pretty irrelevant.

Take a day off thread...& refocus!!! lol

We've already had G making direct comments on it and you are very heavily implying that he doesn't care about the Holocausts or would rather we lost the war. It wouldn't be the first time you've been well off the mark in drawing conclusions from what someone's written

'Where else were people going to live?'

In their homes-before we destroyed them and their food in the quest for gold

'They were put there for their own protection'

Lord Kitchener says they were put there to deprive the Boer fighters of their families

'They were interned for their safety'

So why were the families of fighters deliberately fed less than the families of non combatants or dead soldiers. Why were sub-standard rations and care provided?

'People were being taken there to be fed'

So why deliberately feed some less

'The death rate was the same as in Glasgow'

The health of the poor in Victorian Britain was so appalling the army was struggling to recruit new cannon fodder

Your idol is comprehensively wrong but continue finding ways out for him

The implication is that a British ex-pat living in Germany has become indoctrinated into thinking that Britain was the bad guy and that Churchill was the mastermind. Go to Dachau camp near Munich and there will be German guides who talk candidly about their country's past and do so with a lot more dignity than the shite being thrown around this forum.

Maybe some of the Rees-Mogg crowd could just openly come out and claim that Merkel wants a 4th Reich

You are as crazy in your anti EU religion as Astute. Now go back to sticking up for the Rees Mogg „concentration camps are good for you“.

Should you wish to educate yourself as to how the Nazis came to power, and how constant propaganda turned normal non extremist people into supporters, or acceptors, of Nazism, then visit one of the Dokumentation Centres.

I visited Nürnberg Dokumention Centre which explains Nazi propaganda and actions to gain power. The demonisation of the perceived enemies, the lies, the creating of us versus them, the whitewashing of German past into making it the victim of history.... plucky Germany regaining it’s sovereignty, leaving a multinational organisation. Surprisingly similar to tactics employed to obtain the leave vote.

Listen to the interviews of the criminals and their victims.

I remember a Jew explaining how as a child he had German friends, but as the Nazis rose to power he became increasingly bullied and insulted at school. All because of the atmosphere created by propaganda.

You won’t of course. But you will join in in whitewashing U.K. history and helping create an anti EU, particularly anti German atmosphere, even attacking me as a perceived enemy for pointing out facts. Disgusting to see the same tactics happening here as in the growth of Nazism.

( that is not calling you a Nazi or sticking up for Germany, it is pointing out a worrying similarity caused by U.K. nationalist propaganda)

It puts pressure on the government but as Pete say, too little too late. This sort of statement should have been made straight after their conference.

It has outflanked the defectors - they will now have to make a call and we can get an idea of their true intentions.

It’s going to be a battle though to win over the Labour leave voters though, they’ll have to convince them that they can radically change the outlook for them in the future.

To be fair it was an agreed motion at the time. Funny I suppose how it never got a mention in the press.

What the question is going to be is the valid point. If it’s another in out then I’m not for it. However if it tests what’s believed to be cross party consensus of a customs union then I’m in. Put that to the people.

That was May’s biggest failure and it happened on day one. She should have sought cross party consensus before drawing up her red lines. We’re where we are today because of her failure to do so in the first instance.

Likely though but yep. I just think it’s appropriate. I have changed my own opinion from discussions on here. I think it’s a wafer thin majority but people voted in good faith rather than being duped or manipulated. It’s insane what we are doing but I like in a representative democracy and Cameron asked us all our thoughts. If we can’t make a deal then one has to think it’s apprpriate to ask people again. In the detail obviously.

At this moment in time I’m pretty certain it would be very close and a likely slight majority for still leaving

In spite of everything we now know

Doubt there is much detail. It appears to me that ut is simply a brazen attempt to bring down the Government at any cost, force an election & win votes.
Why anyone thinks a change change of Government will bring the EU back to square 1 of the negotiting process I don't know. The EU 27 we are repeatedly told are standing firm. This is the deal. Take it or leave it we have apparently been told...although that begs the question why TM is back talking to EU leaders.

There is a revolt amongst a considerable number of Labour MP's - its reckoned at least 40 will rebel against Corbyn

Not sure it will be. The calculation's far far more complicated than who voted for what last time out.

The main vote loser would be an unclear policy or an attempt to please everyone, and that's still a possibility.

Last comment on this bullshit from me.

You asked what the Nazis would have done if they won the war. My reply was most probably murdered the rest of the Jews then wiped them off the planet. And that we would all be speaking in German if they never murdered us as well.

Your reply was maybe, but........

You didn't want to have a debate on what would have happened if the Nazis had won the war. The 'but' and then changing it straight onto Churchill said everything. They were on a murder spree and would have continued it. Nobody knows what they would have done next. Yes they would most probably hung or shot Churchill. But why are you so sure it would have gone to a court? They had been murdering millions of people for years. No comment about what happened at Oradour sur Glane. No nothing but one person.

This is why I know it was you having a go at Churchill. You didn't want to consider anything else at all. I continued to ask you why you wanted to talk about Churchill being a war criminal on a Brexit thread. But you never replied once.

Keep having a pop at who you want. You are not worth any more of my time.
