For what it's worth I don't think Corbyn would be the first PM since the war not to maintain close links with the Saudis if he did get office. They jump we say how high, don't see it changing.

The whole thing is a farce; the UK now seems to think it has put the ball in the EU's court but what are the alternative solutions? After being told that the withdrawal agreement is not going to be reopened why does she think this somehow empowers her? The whole thing is bizarre and shows that her and her government are massively incompetent.

Secondly, what’s your opinion on heads of state that mourn the loss of soldiers they sent to war, but don’t acknowledge the loss of civilian life. Or maybe the one that celebrates an air strike, despite the fact it probably killed innocent civilians.

If we were talking about a man that had directly profited from the Irish conflict, or owned a firm that sold weapons to one side in a conflict then I’d be with you on his unsuitability. But we’re not. There are probably things he’s said and not said that upon reflection he would have done differently. But he’s not an architect of conflict is he? He hasn’t instigated conflict for his own gain at all.

Save the Children estimate 85,000 children have been killed in Yemen from starvation alone because of the war Saudi Arabia has inflicted on it with arms we have sold and continue to sell them. If anyone has stooped low it’s you by dismissing deaths at war.

Look back at the posts. Some people were amazed the other day that 5% of our population are holocaust deniers. I'm not surprised at all.

How many times have I had a go at the Tories? How many times have I had a go at most MP's? Yet all this is ignored by certain people on here who only notice me having a go at what they want to defend. It is why our country is in crisis. We have had a Tory government or Labour government who were Tories in disguise since the 70's.

What we need is another John Smith. Best leader of any party in my time. It was his untimely death that put Bliar in as PM. Now all Labour has is someone many don't trust. The Tories are in a right mess. Labour should be romping away. But we are not. Why is this? Is it the antisemitism in the Labour party?

And Italy is now officially in recession and they expect it to get worse. And the Eurozone is only growing at 0.2%. Nothing like the numbers the EU recently told us where they said our growth would be near the bottom. We must be near the top now.

So does the EU need us now?

Nobody in their right mind would want a no deal situation. It must be time to get around a table and talk sensibly. But there again it should have happened ages ago. But some of us did say it would go to the wire. Did expect it a little earlier though.

The withdrawal agreement has already been made, what other sensible discussions are there? Despite all of the bravado the Uk is in a weak position with a PM with zero authority.

The onus is very much on the UK but has it come up with any alternative solutions yet? What are they? Perhaps it’s time for the UK to get sensible?

The assertations that the EU needed us more than we needed them haven’t exactly turned out to be true, so I’m not sure what you’re expecting to happen.

He hasn’t used deaths in war to ignore anything. The fact that you would be so blasé about the situation in Yemen to use it in a sentence as you did is dismissive of it in the extreme. Try getting some perspective before you post. Again, 85,000 children from famine alone. That’s not including those who have died from bombing, many of which were double tap which is outlawed by international law. The Saudi’s are being armed by us and our allies in the West to do this. It gets very little coverage in the Western press, especially compared to Syria where the press can point to Russia and Iran as the bad guys while gleefully ignoring that it was the Saudi’s (yes them again) that sponsored and armed ISIS originally. If you want to talk about terrorism at least try to put it in a sentence with some context. Afterall, you’re the only unbiased one on here. Apparently.

So let me get this straight.

May said it’s her deal, no deal or no brexit. Delayed the vote and then lost by 230 votes.

She returned later and voted against her own deal!!!!! Her own deal to go back to the Eu with a proposal, no! Alternative proposals that no one knows what they are and 3 days later we still don’t know what they are!

Anyone who wants to leave any thoughts?

Is it the original deal or no deal? If we have to follow the huge public vote taken almost 3 years ago

How can she negotiate an agreement and then herself vote against it with no alternative proposals!!!!!!

I’m flabbergasted I hadn’t registered it at the time that the prime minister and her government voted against her deal. The work of her negotiations and the Eu to come to a negotiated compromise on how to move the leaving of the Eu forward. 2 years work and she voted against herself!!!! Am I being stupid or is that not insane???!

And what was the groundbreaking change to the deal that was comprehensively rejected?? Alternative arrangements to the Northern Ireland backstop. What are they? We don’t know ffs

As I have said several times I don't think she wants to take us out of the EU. She has been playing for time.
