I thought that the UK was supposed to have had the upper-hand in these negotiations?

Well, that’s what we ‘the people’ were told during the referendum. Another false premise of the Leave campaign.

Not had time to check it yet but a member of the question time audience claimed yesterday that if you look at the demographics of how old and young voted and then consider that how many voters from the older demographic have died and how many younger voters have come of voting age since the referendum that on its own is enough to shift the vote to remain without a shift in change of opinion by anyone who voted in the last referendum. Certainly no one from the panel dismissed that claim anyway.

As Ricky Gervais said, did we really need to have a referendum to find out that the old hate the young.

Let's leave it in the hands of 18 year old kids then, most who have never even left the classroom yet, have no life experience, believe any old scare story and can be bribed by any old promises.

Why don't you just say what was wrong with my post instead of saying that it was having a go at remainers? Because when I pointed out what I had said and what your reply was you tried to say I was putting words in your mouth. But you are yet to explain why.

I come on this thread for a debate. But all I get lately is stupid petty remarks off certain people. What is the use?

Now you are really desperate. Deny the obvious. Stop people changing their mind. Then talk about Nazis telling people how to vote.

It is you who is telling people that they have voted for this crap and that you will not tolerate them having a second vote in case they have changed their mind, which you wouldn’t want.

Who is the Nazi here?

Can they have a third vote when they change their mind again?

Whichever way a second one went, there probably wouldn’t be a third for a generation.

Surely people cannot look at the state of government right now and think we should carry on business as usual?

I’m well aware that the voter fatigue is a real thing, but this is a crisis. I’m not even being hyperbolic just to make a point.

Look at how our politicians have performed on this issue. Look at Liam Fox's absurd comments on the EU-japan free trade deal he made either today or yesterday.

We used to have politicians Who had experience in life. Now they seem to leave university and not be good enough for many things. So they become a politician. They don't listen to their voters. They certainly don't seem to research the latest topics. And most of them then have the balls to treat us like idiots.

The EU is in crisis. It is run by those who have no interest in what is best for the citizens.

Change is needed in the EU. Change is needed in the UK. And nothing will get better until it happens.

It’s their future so why not? I’m about to turn 46 and I’m set for life so it’s not me who will have to pick up the peace’s. Neither will it be the pensioners who’s pension is protected. I don’t think they vote on scare stories either and it’s very condescending to suggest that they do. Besides the so called project fear becomes project reality little by little each day.

That reply is beneath you. Why don’t you share your wisdom and lay out what you think will happen?

Surely someone as intelligent as yourself recognised that something needs to happen one way or the other, be it a GE or referendum. You’re not stupid.

Let’s concentrate on Britain can do. What is the solution the situation the government finds itself in?

If not a general election or referendum, what’s to be done? As far as I can see, the options are May’s deal, which isn’t a proper Brexit, hence the ERG are in open rebellion or a no deal which is in no one’s interest and no one voted for that.

So are you saying that those pushing for Brexit know what they are doing and want what is best for their constituents?

I guess while we're generalising, we could always talk about the paranoid old gits that are hunkered down, expecting armageddon and World War III because we've not got an empire anymore and we don't stick it to Johnny Foreigner...

So after days of talking bollocks you trot out one of the misinformed articles you can find. Who’s basis of the article seems to be that people don’t protest at every race meeting that he goes to so it can’t be cruel and race horses only work ten minutes a week. Brilliant. What next? The earth is flat? The holocaust is a leftie hoax?

What do you mean exactly when you say the Government can deliver Brexit?

It can’t deliver a Brexit via Parliament ratifying the current deal.

They have said that that is the best deal according to the red lines set by the UK. The best possible deal is the one we have and are giving up. Revoke article 50 and we have the best deal without any further negotiations. The EU don't have a fragile economy, or at least no more than the UK does. Putting either the EU or the UK at risk for what is basically ideology is a stupid idea.

I know some who do care. My mother was a politician and really got involved in the problems of her constituents. For someone who hasn't got a clue to accuse people like my mother of not being interested in people is a joke. Sounds like Farage crap. How many times has Farage beeen on TV this last week? Still not noticed him? Some of those pushing for Brexit seem to care for their business interests more than people in the street.

Astute here’s a guide for kids on cruelty in horse racing. Maybe because it’s aimed at kids it will be on your level. Yes I’m aware it’s about horse racing in America where standards are even worse than in the U.K. but all but one practice is regulars carried out in the U.K. that being that we don’t administer drugs to horses before or after races to stop them from bleeding internally because they’re being pushed more than is natural but the practice is widely used in the U.K. during training. By the way, that means that the apparent 10 minutes that your “expert” thinks they work is actually probably the easiest 10 minutes of their week.

Brexit means Brexit, and this is Brexit.

If those who claimed to want us to leave got behind a deal that saw us leave, we wouldn't be having this conversation now.
