The NCA have decided to act on the information they have been given by th electoral commission, that's significant.
Seen as you're so concerned with democracy I'm sure you'll give the NCA your full backing to investigate the matter and clear it up one way or another.

Frankly banks’ campaign is not official. The fact the government were allowed to post a blatantly biased pamphlet supporting remain which was not even allowed to be scrutinised by the pro euro NCA is a far greater concern to me as I paid towards it without my consent

It’s not significant at all - he was not part of the official leave campaign and again the fact remains the government was allowed to send a leaflet to every house which cost every taxpayer (leave or remain) money - unlike anything banks did - and was full of untruths.

The Electoral commission is a blatant Pro EU organisation - this is a pretty cowardly and shameful act deliberately timed. It’s the kind of act you’d expect in Putins Russia not a democratic country.

It’s a significant development alright - but not in the way you believe. This is a serious attempt at derailing democracy

The government leaflet was requested by the HOL and outside the regulated campaign. It doesn’t count.

The old crap that the electoral commission is pro EU because Banks cannot explain where he got the money from. All he had to do was show bank statements from his mainland companies showing a bank transfer. Why didn’t he? Oh yes the electoral commission is biased.

What timing? Banks was asked to provide proof of his funding and walked out of the enquiry without answering the questions. If he had answered the questions, it would be over by now. Why didn’t he answer the questions?

It is significant and damaging for people like you.

People who registered with the leave website were bombarded with advertisements from Banks‘ insurance companies without their permission. „That’s my data, I’ll use it as I want“. Yeah right.

Lol. Since the end of the cold war, Russia have redirected their energies and finances into cyber warfare. There's a book written by Alexandr Dulgin called The Foundations of Geopolitics which is a core text for the military academies. In it, just 2 of the stated aims are to fuel instability and separatism in the US and to cut off the UK from europe.

All this stuff happening now may just be coincidence but I'd certainly like things to be investigated. I would have thought any patriot would agree with this. It may turn out to be nothing, but it should not be swept under the carpet.

Wrong as usual. It is Banks that was allegedly taking Russian money to lie to voters. In other words acting like Russia with Russian tax payers money.

But it’s OK for the Russian government to use Russian taxpayers money to try to brainwash and manipulate the British public?

I thought it was pretty shit tbh. Even if it was brilliant though, it's not the same thing as possible foreign interference into our referendum. What if there was an accusation that the EU funneled cash into the remain campaign? You'd want it investigated right? I certainly would.

Haha.. hilarious. Lord Snooty, buffoon Boris, private school man of the people Farage, multi millionaire dodgy businessman Banks, Lord Belize Ashcroft and Belize consul Wigmore ( better known for pictures with Trump in glittering gold lift ), the Brexit press, 80% of our papers, owned by billionaire tax exiles. They are the fxxking elite thickie. You’re on their side you tosser.

At least you answered it sensibly - yes Banks should be investigated and Prosecuted if it’s deemed their is sufficient evidence

In the end though Russian interference was at its highest in the early 80’s

I've consistently said I respect the result of the referendum, but if people like Banks broke the law during the campaign then I want to know.

And it's a ridiculous notion to think that being on the opposite side to Mogg, Johnson, Farage etc is being on the side of the elite.

Strange though isn’t it? The notion Russia influence has massively grown through cyber activity and this is a new phenomenon is nonsense.

It’s biggest influence in the post Cold War era was without question in the late 70’s and early 80’s

Then there was direct infiltration into the unions and the Labour Party and there was a clear strategy to try and bring down the democratic system

The leader of the opposition was without much doubt paid by the KGB. The miners union was funded by Russia and the miners were used by its Marxist leaders try and destroy the government of the day. Militant tendency was riddled with kremlin sponsored Trotskyites. Oddly though the same people who express indignation at the Russian apparent (and far less significant) interference now didn’t seem very bothered then.

As for America let’s also remember that the so called liberals like Clinton were suck ups to the IRA and sponsored bombs and bullets to murder British citizens. Again little indignation there either.

Me stupid? Yeah OK.

Where do I start? You think evidence is something put on Twatter by someone with an agenda.

You say that I have nothing good to say about the EU. Correct. I have nothing good to say about any of the crap to do with Brexit. But strangely enough you only notice the EU part. I have a go at anyone when you know they are guilty of something. Hearsay doesn't count. You have a go at anyone who doesn't defend the EU or who dares to have a go at them. Does that make you feel superior?

Or would you like to point out where I have said something good about someone who is pro Brexit?

No you can't. Because I haven't. The problem is that you are so biased you can't see the truth. You just want what is good for the EU to be the truth and whatever is bad for those who support Brexit to be true.

He has provided the biggest private political donation in UK history. He has been asked to show the origin of funds. He refuses and walked out of the select committee inquiry when pressed on the subject. His UK firms don’t show enough money to have paid it. If he used offshore money, he has broken the law. His ex South African Business Partner has claimed under oath, that millions of Russian money meant for his diamond mines never got to South Africa. His diamond mines were loss making at the time. What happened there?

And your outrage about the British Selmayr style appointment of the UK. Head civil servant? May‘s loyal lieutenant...! The old head of Whitehall reported in as permanently sick. May appointed the replacement, her loyal lieutenant, without discussion, vote, college or consulting anyone, on the basis of „urgency because of Brexit“.

Exactly the same reason as Juncker recommending and backing his loyal lieutenant. Selmayr was appointed by a college of 3. Juncker referred to „urgency because of Brexit“ to use a clause in EU regulations to bypass the normal procedure.

You were in outrage for weeks. You said the EU was corrupt, didn’t hold to any rules, used the „good that we are leaving“ crap expression, and claimed that such moves were the reason that you are no longer a remainer. Although the EU held two inquiries, including one by the ombudsman, and there was outrage in the EU parliament. Apart from Corbyn criticizing the move, not much was said about May’s coup. No stories in the Brexit press and no „monster of Whitehall“ type nickname. You haven‘t said a word. How neutral of you.
