I said one of the two main ways of Italy getting out of the financial mess they are in would be having debts written off. The other way is defaulting on its debt. Why didn't you try to have a go at me for suggesting that Italy should default on their debt? Because it was under the same context as having debts written off.

Or do you know of another way that Italy can get out of the situation of having to find what looks to be in excess of 50 billion a year just to cover the interest of the 2.1 trillion it owes? Because the EU is trying to tell them they can't lend more. But they need to lend more to pay the interest payments.

And on tourism. It isn't me saying that people won't want to go. It is all down to the restrictions that the EU threatens us with. Or did you forget that part?

There is hardly any of these comments reality is there? Dunkirk spirit hardly makes someone a national conservative. It’s an expression for resiliance. 1066 is really proving someone sits there alongside Adolf

What happens if flights get grounded? Some people like taking their dogs with them. They say they might be in quarantine for the duration of their holiday. We might be limited to how long we stay. So no long touring holidays.

Boris calling black people piccaninnies (which is racial slur in itself) with watermelon smiles was a good one. Or how about the go home vans and rhetoric as a whole from the government over windrush. Just of the top of my head.

Flights won't get grounded; dogs not bring able to go freely to the EU and being limited to how long you can spend in each others countries should hardly be a surprise.

It's another long line of predictions that haven't come to fruition. The EU and the coalition will eventually compromise. The 5Star's record when in power is not good and there's a lot of worried people over there about the impact they'll have on the country long-term.

You’re the one who seems unaware of what some Tories have said, some high profile ones to boot. Is that the same as saying that the Tory party is “riddled with Nazis”? Clearly not regardless of your poor attempt to put those words into my mouth. However when comparing a statement that they only exist in someone’s head to riddled with Nazis the latter clearly would be the most accurate, even though it’s not accurate at all. That’s a good measurement of how wrong you are.

Whoever got voted in this time in Italy was going to have a hard time. So if the far right was ever going to get voted in this is the best time for it. The usual parties won't get all the blame if it all goes wrong. And maybe the EU will offer a bit more to keep the far right on their side.

The long term damage has already been done. An unmanageable debt has been run up. Something needs to give. But the good thing about Italians is they don't carry much personal debts themselves.

The comments I am specifically are referring to insults to EU foreigners. The Nazi comparison in the link, the Foreign Minister USSR comparison and the Mogg Mafia comparison.

Now, a yes/ no question for you. Do you think these sort of comments strengthen our negotiating position with the EU?

I suspect that in 2 of those cases, a no deal would be the desired effect opening up the UK to a libertarian free market economy. Winner takes all.

I wasn't saying it was old news. La Lega are far-right and trying to push through some abhorrent laws, luckily they've been met with resistance so far and had to reel them back in. The 5Star are certainly not far-right and are very much to the left.
