Of course the UK would like to be easier, so it could cherry pick and get the best of both worlds. Why should the EU change its 4 freedoms to accommodate a country leaving and that is supposedly going to reap the rewards of going it alone.

Worryingly though, Fox claimed these would be the easiest negotiations yet but the UK isn't doing too well. Imagine the UK up against Trump hahaha

And you seem to love the way the EU is taking the piss out of us.

Is it just so you can tell us that you told us so? Because I find it hard to believe how anyone from the UK could defend them in this matter.

It is the fear factor being used again.

We will run out of food and medicine if we leave and the army will take over.

Yeah OK.

Last week it was all about hoarding food and medicine in case it was needed. And that was also the wrong thing to do.

But' it's not a "fear factor", is it? Government ministers have openly said the Government is stockpiling medicines and food. No fear, just fact. I know they have denied the army story, but at one time they were denying the stockpiling rumours.

So, tell us why stockpiling is great for the UK?

The circumstances were that he was referring to statistics showing production or man hours. No it wasn’t good and it was racist. But, he is not the EU. The EU has laws against racism. Did the Italians file a complaint?

The EU has asked us to put forward a workable proposal. We cannot. That’s it.

Now it’s their fault for that, and by asking us for a workable proposal they are taking the piss?

If our proposal was to give the EU everything it wants, Barnier would still find fault with it.

Saves us £40 billion so good. Perhaps Junker (See left) can explain that to his member states and they can all stare bleakly at a rather large hole in their budgets

It's not only up to us, Mart. The EU seems to be intent on driving us towards a no deal exit.

Strangely enough to some stockpiling is bad. And running out of anything is bad. And it is a IF.

Now you expect me to defend MP's lying. I don't think anyone has a go at them for lying as much as I do.

Let’s do that and see what Barnier says. Or, let’s go for a Norway deal and ask for a 5 year moratorium on FOM for certain countries. We weren’t obliged to accept people from Bulgaria and Romania. We did so. Germany and others didn’t accept Romanians and Bulgarians automatically for 5 ( or 7 ) years after their admission. So there was a precedence for flexibility in FOM. Whatever happens we will have to make concessions or crash out. We are the leavers who instigated Brexit. We were told it would be easy and at no cost. People should, and many are, be asking the people who promised us something which is undeliverable without some pain, is it worth it?

We have to pay and we have agreed to pay and we will pay the amount agreed...minus any money which would have been for the transition period should we not get it.

The „we‘ll knock ‚em and do a runner“ won’t work as they know where we live, so to say.

Rees Mogg and co are suggesting that knowing full well we will pay, but letting May take the flak. Afterwards they will say it’s May‘s fault we have to pay.

Show me the agreement and the formula and in particular the terms of payment. Even Barnier admitted this would span several years and only be paid on projects the UK benefit from, So in reality we will be paying nothing really anyway given the net funding we make in a single year to the EU is huge. There is no question the hole in EU finances will be huge. In addition all trade from the EU will overnight become costlier.

Many economists calculate that the current stock market and sterling valuations assume a hard brexit anyway and that the whilst the eu is not and that the fall will be in Europe and not the UK.

I would not be so cocky if I were you

There are 2 parties. 1 is representing the interests of 27 countries obliged to follow certain rules. They have agreed that the rules must be upheld. It has been published on the EU‘s website what the aims of negotiations are.

The other has only just come up with a white paper which doesn’t comply with the rules of the EU. We don’t accept FOM, ECJ, paying in, regulatory alignment in the future and want to collect EU taxes on their behalf. Dead on arrival. We knew that. And no one in the UK, apart from May and Robbins, wanted the white paper anyway. So, who is taking the piss?

Well I agree that hard Brexit may already be priced in. I doubt whether people in the EU are not following what is going on. It will be priced in here as well.

I am not being cocky. I won’t be celebrating because millions of people suffer more in one place than another. The whole thing is a huge distraction from living our lives in peace and prosperity, which we should all be doing.

Oh really? Well we will see. My money is on us paying what we have already agreed to. Some things are liabilities for guarantees which are due, or may not be due in years to come. We cannot get out of them.

Rees Mogg is saying that we don’t have to pay. He hasn’t laid out any details of why. If we do pay, he will say it was May‘s fault. So he has nothing to lose. Just stirring things up.

The EU will see many many countries far more hit than the UK. Far more. Still as you keep saying the EU represents the 27 countries..

The general economic forecasts from Pension companies is that UK stock is now more desirable than for years and to switch from European registered companies. Lets see what happens if the EU bank starts to face reality and put the base lending rate up. Then it really will have been well worth it.

We have agreed a certain payment as part of a deal. If we leave without a deal that agreement is null and void.

Why would I love it? It's going to be detrimental to the UK's long-term futute; I'd rather be wrong and the country be successful.

The EU isn't taking the piss, it's just getting the best deal for itself. You seem so brainwashed by the Tories and even started quoting May the other day with her "magic money tree" nonsense.

So why do we have to pay? There is nothing written in law that says we have to pay. And we would be out of the EU jurisdiction so they couldn't force us to pay.

We agreed to pay money. They agreed to come to an agreement with us. But they have gone back on it so far.

And if it is good enough for the EU to bend rules why is it not OK for us to?
